Wow, hang in there Jim, sending positive thoughts your way and eagerly awaiting a positive report on the other side of this. Hope your doctors treat you like an Escape trailer....take a bunch of stuff out, do some mods, and put it back together better than ever!

I just now read this thread. Off line for 10 days put me behind. Jim, you have a lot of things you want to do ahead of you in life. Keep an eye on those goals. I second others in saying, do what your doctor tells you to do. Heal quickly and gracefully. We'll keep the light on for you.

I am new to this forum. I have an older great 31’ Airstream, but at 73 it’s just to much. My wife and an I would love a 21’ Escape. Hope to get one stateside if possible next year.
I know no one here but we are praying and wish you well. Hopefully we can meet one day one the trail.

Jim, You don't know me...other than I'm an Escape 19 owner. I'm 62 and fairly active and I too have not had major health issues, other than high cholesterol that my doctor wants me to take drugs for...that I refuse. This week, I completed a 88 mile backpack trip through the Wind Rivers in Wyoming. At a lake in the middle of nowhere to some (to me it was at a beautiful place), on day 5, there was this saying laid out in pine needles on a sand beach.... "Enjoy Life" It really hit my nerve given the circumstances. I wish you the best as you sort things out.

Hi Jim,
Sorry to hear about your health issues. I have learned much from your posts and opinions. You have interesting and humorous outlooks on everything from camper issues to isolation cooking. We were really looking forward to meeting you at a rally sometime in the future, so you are hereby ordered to recover speedily so when we all get back to camping we can make your acquaintance!
You are in out thoughts and prayers until we hear of your complete recovery

Jim, wishing you a quick, healthy recovery following your surgery. Keep positive, continue your sense of humor, and of course planning future camping excursions. I have always enjoyed your posts on this forum and learned a lot from you, and I'm sure there will be many more to come in the future. Take care and all the best to you and your family!
