New forum for Covid-19 Topics - README
Please read carefully:
Because of the very high interest and posting activity regarding COVID-19, the site team has established this temporary new forum to contain all threads related to this topic. We have moved existing threads on this topic to this new forum and will continue to move posts and new threads to this area of the forum, regardless of where they were initially posted.
All Community Rules will be strictly enforced in this forum. Posts in violation of the rules may be deleted without notification based on the judgment of the moderators. In addition, posts that exhibit fear-mongering or other anti-social behavior may result in the author’s posting privileges being restricted. Please be especially cautious about posting politically charged content and be sure to report problem posts.
There has been a lot of very useful information and perspective shared here on this topic, but unfortunately also a good bit that doesn't align with forum rules. Please respect your fellow members by thinking through this before posting:
- Is it true?
- Is it helpful?
- Is it kind?
If you have any questions about this, feel free to message any moderator.
Wishing good health to all,
The Site Team
P.S. Now go wash your hands!

Thanks for doing this Janet, I've found some of the posts a bit too political for my likes and for what this forum is known for, friendly advice!
This will be good for people looking for info in one place especially those expecting new Escapes this spring.
Everyone keep safe AT HOME!

I think the intention of a README thread like this is to introduce and explain the forum section. Actual discussions should be in their own suitable threads, with appropriate titles to help people find relevant information.
Right, Janet and moderators?

Correct. Any thread on the subject of the COVID-19 virus, or related to it, should be started under the COVID-19 discussion section of the forum. This README was simply to notify members of it's existence and purpose.

I'm not convinced it's going to work.
Is software going to automatically move a post to the Covid thread if it sees the word Covid or Corona?
If I am writing about something unrelated, but that touches on the pandemic, am I supposed to put it in the Covid thread?
For example, I posted on Alberta parks closing ( for economic reasons ). The post was weeks ago. It appears that further along, it may have gotten into the Covid issue. Anyway, it got moved to the Covid thread. Maybe only half the thread should have moved. I don't care that it got moved, but I don't know how you can remove politics or the virus from our human existence and have anything left.
If you had made this post in another thread, and I respond, where does it end up?
