On the road and need a place

Hello All,
Reading some threads created something I never considered in all this, with all these parks closing how about those that live on the road and now where they can stay is being limited?
If you fall into that category and Georgia is a state your coming through please reach out to me, I have two places if you need a place to park it for a couple of weeks, happy to help anyway we can.

Enjoy the journey, all of this is definitely part of that journey.

Steve

Wonderful offer Steve. We left Ga last week, a few weeks before we had planned to. I was concerned with getting sick and hospitalized far from home.

Yes. Even little things help. I started a group text with some of my close neighbors so if one of us is going out we can see if someone needs something. I got some groceries for a neighbor yesterday and someone is picking something up or me today. Funny thing I realized is that we should be doing this all the time...not just during a pandemic!

Steve,
Great Idea! I have extra parking next to our Escape if anyone needs a place to base for a bit. Just south of Cincinnati Oh

Sounds like we need a “Camp-air B&B”. A place for Escape owners like below to offer this kind of occasional use.

Thanks for this offer Steve, we raced home from GA in three days last week. I would offer my place too but nobody is coming through our town except truckers crossing the border. CBC doing a report on how southern MB is coping sat at the border for half an hour Tuesday afternoon and nobody came through the regular lanes, just the commercial ones.

Sorry..please read..TN has made our beautiful parks DUO "day use only"

No way to describe how strange this decision is. As a retired doc I see camping as "fun social distancing"..a thing to be Encouraged, not blocked.in a time of contagion. maybe they are apppworried about staffing..buy dang..most of us campers are adept an boondocking and SPs are great for that. IF the state can allow DUO, they could seemingly allow 24/7 camping. Oh well... please see my post re the latest NEJM article (giving hope) about the virus

The problem isn't local campers. It is other people traveling to your lovely campgrounds from other areas, allowing spread of disease as they shop, uses gas pumps, etc.

However, on the need a place front: offer stands for trailer parking in my driveway on Whidbey after pickup as long as parks are still closed. I"m about 2 1/2 hrs from Sumas. Plenty of room to park, plenty of sunshine or an electric cord. Does require a detour off 20 (if going via Port Townsend) or 5 (if going through Seattle; you end up either backtracking or on the ferry to get back to 5.). as
