We had ours delivered right before all this Beer Flu mess really started heating up.
It was not cheap, but we got our trailer in less than 7 days. It would be more cost saving to see if ETI would be willing to meet you at a predetermined location of your choice. If they would it would save you some money on the delivery fee. I believe their current charge is $3.00 a mile CAD.

Piggy Backing

We live in Lancaster VA and have a 21 that is nearly ready for delivery. We had planned to pick it up on May 11 but Virginia is in lock down until June 10. We got a letter from Karl at Escape stating that delivery prices had dropped to $1.50/mile USD and he was suggesting delivery as an option. We would be interested in talking to you about piggy backing to the East Coast. Melisa at Escape says they are happy to arrange for piggy backing. Please let us know if you are interested in "sharing the ride". Susan (804) 462-6000

Thumbs up

Thanks for your advice. I have spoken to Melisa and she does not know Holly or who she might be. However, she will be on the lookout for her and any other requests for US East Coast deliveries.

From their post and profile they are Holly & Fred from Nashville, TN with a pickup of a new 21 that is (was) scheduled for April 27th. Seems to me with that information ETI should know who they are. You could also PM Hollybee and ask her to reach out to Melisa to coordinate.

Thanks for the additional info. I have not posted enough to qualify to PM. But I will share Fred's name with Melisa.

I just had mine delivered Tuesday. It was on a flat bed truck which carried 2 RVs from Escape. They dropped the first one; which was a 21” ,off in Texas then brought mine to Florida. They did a great job and took very good care of my RV. The cost was split between me and Texas. I hope that helps .

That is a great rate for delivery, cheaper than going out yourself.

Holly, are you still looking for someone to share delivery costs with? We live near Montgomery Alabama and were planning to go up this summer to get our 19' but it's in a state of flux now.

Have one possible opportunity but it is not definite. We are definitely interested in sharing a delivery as VA is shut down until at least June 10. I am working with Melisa at Escape as she is coordinating deliveries to make them as geographically close as possible. Please contact Melisa and she will add you to the list of people looking for delivery opportunities.

They really do not need to be close to one another, just be off the same roads. A drop off in Illinois on the way to Georgia would fit the mold. As along as the direction is more or less similar. But Melissa @ Escape should be able to coordinate such. They are closed now for the holiday I'm sure.

Our 21 is under construction now and is to be completed at the end of the month. We are in Western New York and are seriously considering having it delivered due to the potential length of the lock downs. I sent Escape an email today asking them to see if there are any others that want to piggyback and to give us a quote.

Another idea is to meet at another member's house. When we got our first E19, a couple came up from NC to take delivery with us. We then hooked up and went to a local CG where we became familiar with our Escapes. They were "newbies" to camping and needed guidance with everything. It was a fun weekend and memorable. They were relieved to have someone help them set up up the first time.

Fred here, of the Holly and Fred duo["Hollybee"]' . WE are very familiar w the Montgomery area..which btw is our favorite overnite stop when going to camp in FL
WE have talked this over alot in the last month. Our original plan was to go to Chilliwack to pick it up..mainly bks we really wanted to do a 4-5 week tour of the US western NPs on the way home, and stop and visit some relatives along the way. WE are still planning this trip, down the Pacific coast and thru AZ and up to Grand Canyon /Sedona area and then home..so we guess we will re-schedule the trip for July and August. Surely the PTB will get their stuff together bu July.............

Seems to me it would make sense to get your trailer home asap and you can then make some minor changes and modifications while at home. That way the indefinite future will not impact you. If things get better later, you merely make your trip then in the reverse. Otherwise it may not happen this year.....
