I wonder if that somebody will acknowledge that the US just hit #1 in the world for number of cases.

Oh my, Glenn! I can't even begin to think about that. Sufficient unto the day is the trouble thereof!

What a guy.... you consistently slip in political stuff and get away with it. Must make your head swell up. Take two and call the BSA if needing anything else.

Pandemic
It is indeed difficult to get through this PANDEMIC without a little humor and would be even more difficult for us without the leadership of the Governor of the great State of Iowa. She’s doing a good job as are our mayors and council persons. I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow and through the weekend. Be good to yourself.

I saw a large rafter of turkeys today with two toms that had the longest beards I have ever seen
Haven’t seen any migrating ducks yet but any day now when the ice starts breaking up.
The bears are out of hibernation and moving around , saw one the other day
Only 5 weeks to the Wisconsin walleye fishing opener and 6 weeks to the Pink Elephant rally
All bright spots in a rather dismal Spring
Thanks Dave for your outdoor observations and insights.

They stick around all winter here on the west coast, Dave. If anyone wonders, Dave always throws in a reference to Coots. My handle, Fulica. is the Latin name for Coots. He figured that out pretty early.

I'm wondering about the Osoyoos Rally at the end of May. Given the nature of reports coming from Ottawa and locally it seems highly unlikely that the period of self-isolation will be over. Also likely that the Canada/US border will remain closed. Where can one get specific information? I've tried looking on the Escape corporate site but was unsuccessful in locating anything.

Anyway, I believe Karl said ETI would make a decision and post it on April 10.

Look under bookings. It says they won't take any right now for the next month and won't guarantee any others. They don't know what will happen.

Escape Rally
Premier of British Columbia announced today this province will likely be social distancing for months. This brings us to end of may at least.

You are quite right, Jim. Additionally, with all the new information regarding the extensions of self-isolation, border closures, high risk categories, etc. I think it would be prudent to postpone the event until next year. Can you imagine attending the pot luck, crowded into the hall, with 350 individuals all eating self-prepared food? It is a recipe for disaster.

That’s in recognition that the world is running a Covid 19 marathon and not a sprint.
