Many people aren't taking this virus seriously. If I got it, I probably wouldn't die. But from what I understand, side effects or lasting issues, lasting lung damage, amputations, and a new one, hair loss. Sounds scary to me.

A former student who was a ranger at Sequoia NP was in Yosemite with her family last week. Glad they got there before it closed again!

Take the virus seriously? I prefer not to take the virus at all!

And, I understand, California may be reverting back to 'stringent rules' due to spikes. There are many, like some of my relatives in Washington and Arizona, who still believe this is a hoax (after all, they don't have it and neither does anyone they know ...). Thus, they aren't 'wearing any d**n masks', won't stay six feet apart, or do anything they feel impinges upon their 'Constitutional Rights'. (And this is why you choose your friends carefully as you don't have control over who you're related to ... )

Still open here at Dinosaur National Monument’s Split Mountain Campground in Utah. Some folks wear masks but most are not. Almost all rafters that come off the river have no mask on. As a volunteer camp host, I wear my mask. Stay safe everyone!

Ask them if they think they have a Constitutional Right to take a piss in the fruit and veggy aisle at the grocers. Ask them if they wear pants in public.

GSDNP open!

We have had reservations for Great Sand Dunes National Park for 6 months. We expected they would be cancelled. Much to our surprise the reopened to camping a week ago so we are heading out soon. Looking forward to camping but we are taking and wearing masks as needed. Probably won't wear them while at our campsite but definitely will if we use the restrooms there.
