Since a number of these locations are in my backyard, I feel obliged to comment! First, as fun as Calistoga can be, it's actually quite a ways off Highway One, and would be at least a one day side trip from the coast. Madonna Inn is special, especially the main men's restroom. I'll say no more. Swanton Berry Farm (The Slow Coast) will allow you to spend the night there with an advance phone call. If you're visiting the Mystery Spot, and everybody should, probably best to unhook and leave the trailer at the the campground, the road in is narrow, as is the parking lot. I forget which day it is now, but once a year the Pigeon Point Lighthouse fires up and uses the original fresnel lens, which is pretty spectacular.

In Cambria, stop at Linn's restaurant on Main St. and, at the very least, have some olallieberry pie. They're on Main St. 3/4 mi. inland from Hwy 1. They grow the berries on the farm about 5 miles inland on Santa Rosa Creek Rd.
