12V air purifier

Well, after a fabulous smoke-free summer, the wildfire smoke is back in Tahoe, and it's really bad for my breathing. I resisted buying an air purifier this past week because I knew I was hitting the road in the Escape for my annual cross country trip so I would soon be out of it...or so I thought. Then I looked at the smoke map and realized I'll still be in it for a while as I escape the west. Long story short, I'd love to get a portable air purifier that is battery powered, to take with me and use in the car and the trailer. Anyone have one of these they can recommend?

Oh boy, after reading your PM this morning I saw that South Lake Tahoe is over 300 AQI on purple air.

It does get better outside of that area, but it’s still over 100.

I can't speak from experience, but what I read about the Westinghouse 1804 looks interesting.

I think it would take a 120v unit to really clean up the air in the trailer, however.

You might be able to get a HEPA rated cabin air filter for your tow vehicle; I found a Bosch filter for my F-150 on Amazon

I like that one, very interesting indeed, but decided I didn't want to spend that much on this, so I just ordered this one instead:

Good to know on the cabin filters for the truck, for the future...for now, my current cabin air filter was just recently replaced so I think I'll keep it for now, and just use this portable purifier in the truck as well as the trailer. I'll report back on how it works!

IQAir Atem. I have one, made for cars or desks, it also has a travel case which is nice and keeps it safe. I also have their floor standing units which are hospital grade and completely scrub the air of the wildfire smoke we get.
