17B Front Dinette Dimensions?

Hey guys,

I'm considering picking up a used 17B next year and might want to make some slight modifications to the front dinette to make it a more ergonomic work space. I'd like to know the length and width dimensions of the floor space under the table, the width of the opening leading up to the dinette between the bathroom wall and the wardrobe, and the height of the bench excluding the cushions. I'd appreciate it a lot if somebody could please provide these measurements to help me plan this out.

What year is the used 17B, makes a difference whether it is 1st or 2nd gen.
Just saw you don’t have one in mind, the measurements will vary depending on the year.

Good question. It'll most likely depend on what I can find when I'm ready to buy. What year did the second gen start?

The second generation trailers were first built in 2016, and those built in 2016 were generally referred to as "2017 style", but still had 2016 model year identification in the VIN code. So 2015 and earlier are all first-generation, 2017 and later are all second-generation, and you have to check the individual trailer if it was built in 2016.

Thanks for the info! I will most likely end up getting a first generation 17b.

Here's some measurements from my 17B.
Bench, from floor to top ( no cushion ) is 14 1/2"
Floor space measured at floor is 24" from wardrobe to front wall.
Same space measured at bench top is 29 1/2" ( the front wall slopes ).
The benches are 28" apart.
From the bath wall to the wardrobe is 29 1/2"
Floor to table top is 29".
All measurements are +/- 1/4 inch. I wouldn't build anything from my measurements.
Not a lot of space to work with.
I'd order a 19'

Perfect, thank you so much!! I will definitely wait until I get my trailer before I start building anything. This is just to give me a better idea of what's going to be possible in that space and help me determine if a 17b is going to suit my needs. The 19's are very temping, but I think I can make a 17b work. Thank you!

Haha Thanks for the tip! I've got a few ideas regarding the seats and that west marine chair is definitely on my radar. It's cool to see others have discussed seating upgrades on here! For some reason, I hadn't thought to search for that on this forum yet.
