My daughter, for whom I am rebuilding the 13' Trillium with the front bunks, hopes to use it for many years, and plans to start on the baby making shortly after being wed next May. Though not as roomy as our 19, I think it will work great for her, and at much less of a cost (which in this case is to me ).

Actually with a 9 month wait time, the exchange rate will change, unless you pay the entire amount immediately.

Good choice. To answer your question, the wife and young daughter use the big bed. Me and the son use bunks. It is easier for me to not climb over or disturb the wife and I like the lower bunk, nice and cozy.

Yeah, that makes sense. More often than not one of our little guys ends up in our bed before morning anyway...
With th 19 we will have the permanent Queen, the dinette Double, and the Cot as sleeping options. That gives us the flexibility that we want.
