19 nearing completion

Hi all,

I've refrained from posting build pictures, till there was something that was different to all the other build pictures being posted. This weeks are worthy..

As you may gather we are getting very excited... but the caravan will stay at escape for another few months till I find some where to park it!

All the best

David

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Love the red. That's really different.

But, you know.. it would have been A-OKAY to post early build pictures. We don't care if we're seeing the same kinds again and again.. it's not about US, it's about YOU and if YOU'RE excited... SO ARE WE!

Thanks for sharing... Red.. hummm... now I have something else to think about hummmm. I have two La-Z-Boys in my family room with... what looks like.. the similar pattern. Red with gold microdots... hummm

Yeppers! Share the Formica numbers too. That's neat. Looks like marble....

Isn't this fun, no two Escape exactly the same!

OK.... 3467 blue storm, as we are both geologists, we wanted something that looked like rocks... This one is pretty neat..

Both we chose in one jeck of hurry whilst we were down in South Africa and a spot opened up in January, saving us having to wait till September!! To say we were not prepared was an understatement, but all the help and information we gleaned from this forum was very helpful.

Its so neat that no two Escapes are alike!

Cheers

We also picked out Blue Storm! So excited to actually see it after picturing it only in our heads. We are not geologists, but we love rocks! It looks especially good with the stainless steel. We picked out a different fabric though, so yours is still one of a kind!

Love the red...wow! Now I'm thinking maybe I should have been a bit more daring with Egbert.

You always have the option to go nuts with throw pillows.

We've also had a mattress cover made in the same material... As for the pillows well not decided yet, probably sunshine yellow!!

Noticed Blue Storm comes in a Radiance finish only, thought we were supposed to keep to a Matt finish. Thanks David, I think. Didn't see these FX styles, it's off to the custom counter shop for us, HD doesn't carry these.

it's more money if it's a matt finish, but I'm pretty sure you can get whatever you want if you're willing to spend more.

This is quite stunning. I like the bright colors and bold countertops.

I believe the matte finish is what ETI prefers and will charge a premium for installing the radiance finish over and above the small premium for installing a pattern other than their stock pattern. I am curious as to why a different finish would matter, but possibly the radiance finish is more expensive than the matte finish for any given pattern.

I'm thinking the up-charge for the radiance finish might have to do with possible damage during installation. Easily scratched with power tools, for instance.

I remember Tammy saying something about it being harder to install.
