2004 17 b
It has been one year since we purchased this sight unseen 17B . Had it shipped to home address. Unlocked, opened the door and, wait for it, yes it desperately needed a total interior renovation. A year later we now have a 17B which we know is nicer than when It rolled off of the showroom floor 16 years ago. We think we have one of the earlier trailers constructed. An e mail to escape with serial number did not produce any leads. Asking for any assistance as to identify what production number this trailer might own up to.

Need to see before and after pix.
Won't help with ID, but will satisfy curiosity.
Should be a data sheet inside a cupboard ( it's not supposed to be removed ).

That early, my thought is that it’s number 16 of all trailers built. Weren’t the 17s the only size built the first couple of years and if so there would not be other sized trailers in the serial number soup. 016 would convince me it was number 16 in the first thousand. Our last four numbers on the 21 are 8766. The production on 21’ Escapes stated In August or September 2013 after Reace made the original three prototypes and offered the 21s for sale. I spoke to Reace at the Osoyoos rally in 2019 and he along with two other owners of first run 21s who were at the rally compared our numbers. We had numbers 3,5, and 6. Ours being #6 and forum member 7th Heaven has number seven. After multiple sizes were made available, they would mould and build them in “short” runs of consecutive trailers like 5 or 6 17s then some 19s then maybe a few 5.0 models and so on and so forth. Remember when thay stopped making 15s and Escape had four or five on the lot built on speculation that they would sell and “warned” “
when they are gone they are gone”?
Hope this crippled up old memory helps a little. Need an official Escape Historian to fill in the blanks. Not it

We removed the range hood and were impressed at how it opened the space.. I should note that the hood also serves as a flame protector for the bottom side of the upper cabinets. This is code in Canada. Was replaced with a sheet of prefinished brown sheet metal folded all sides and spaced down 3/8 of a inch. Spice rack also has bottom shield. A stainless steel backsplash full height and width added a nice touch.

This photo is before curtains, windows have top and bottom rods. Bottom rod holds the cloth curtains tightly to the angled interior walls. Rods are 3/8 inch polished steel rod.
