21' Cubby Storage
What do you store in your 21' cubby storage between the door and the bathroom? My wife is struggling to see how that would be useful and I thought people would have plenty of ideas. Thanks in advance!

I store small bathroom rugs from Ikea in them. I lay them out around the bed before going to bed. That way I don't track any dirt from the rug that's in front of the door into bed. Yeah, I could shake the big rug out, but not all of the debris comes out when I shake it. Plus, with the little rugs, I have something clean to step on when I get out of the shower.
I also have a pouch filled with bandaids as I go through lots of 'em. I need stock in those companies.

We find those cubby's keep things out of the way (and out of sight) such as keys, wallets, phones etc. Remember these are also behind the privacy curtain and it would be harder for someone to discover if they were going through your trailer quickly. But it really just helps us keep organized with less stuff on the counter tops.

Glad we got these cubbies. Keys, flashlights, bug spray, sun spray, cell phones, wallets, medicine, etc.

and for those with the cubby, there is room for one more, at the bottom. I made an opening in mine, line with some carpet, room to store 2 pairs of slippers and access can be had from outside reaching in.See post 232 here http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8...k-3134-24.html

Ditto to all the above. We like them a lot, although they can be a bit noisy when dropping rigid metal objects like keys, flashlight, etc. into them. We plan to add some kind of rubber or thick fabric liner to damper the sound, but haven't decided on what or how as of yet. Any ideas out there?

I used leftover overhead storage liner, it is sticky on one side and cushions what ever is stored on it.

You can get felt that's sticky on the back. I got some black from JoAnn's and I think they had some other colors as well. It's thin so it won't take up too much space. I used some under a key holder I put on the wall as they made lots of noise when the trailer wasn't completely stabilized.

Good question, so I decided to look:
Top cubby, the space behind the very top of the panel -- a big spray can of Febreeze, laying down. I should put something else in there as I don't like to reach into a space where I can't see where I'm reaching (Floridian -- bugs, snakes, etc.)
2nd cubby -- dishwashing liquid, liquid hand soap, and my shaving cream is parked there when I'm towing.
3rd cubby -- deodorant, insect repellant, some OTC drugs like vitamins, Lactaid, Mucinex.
4th cubby -- bottle of rubbing alcohol, more OTC drugs like Pepto-Bismol, antacid tablets, and a bag containing razor blades.
5th cubby -- there appear to be two cans of WD40. Hmm, I guess the smaller one is to unstick the bigger one a la Hank Hill. 3-in-One Oil, other lubricants and glues. A bottle of stain remover.
Like most people with most storage spaces, I need to rearrange and consolidate this stuff.

Our cubbies hold plastic bags for dog-dooky; dog leash(es); my small hairbrush, hair clips, sunglasses, and etc.; and a small, folded chenille bath mat (only deployed at shower time)

I use 2mm, or more often 4mm EVA foam. Have it as shelf liner/drawer liner in all our drawers and cabinets, where it works great and provides a little cushioning effect. I also use it to make custom dividers for my camera cases, as it provides enough padding without the bulk. I buy mine in 24x60 inch sheets from tntcosplaysupply.com, but then I use a lot. You can get small sheets, easy to cut to fit the cubbies, at Hobby Lobby or similar.
As for what goes in the cubbies, we use them the same way everyone else has described.
