I kept a short list laminated by my door on my 17 the people who bought it were suspicious that I rented it out because of the list. Never occurred to me .. I like a short list I can get distracted easily and forget something maybe not the awning but steps, micro wave plate, windows open, etc..

Checklist has worked for airline pilots.
Worked so well that a hospital adopted checklists for surgeons and improved their performance.

And since I'm a child from the 60s I need a check list. Lists often help me relax just knowing they are there. But often I don't read them

-Depending on how long you have been stationary and ambient temperatures it might be good to check tire pressures

These are good suggestions, thank you!

Has someone come across something like that, or even been the one who leaves such token gifts?

I love this idea! Thanks for sharing it. I've found such gifts rarely in Bed and Breakfasts through the years and I think this would be a fun thing to do...

Thanks everyone for your input. Here are the final versions of my checklists. I am indeed a newbie who is traveling solo, so these checklists will be my second pair of eyes and ears. They may also be useful to others who are just starting out. I was unable to upload the MS Word (editable) versions of these files since the file size was too large for that particular file format on this forum. If you would like the editable version in MS Word, message me and I'll e-mail them to you. 4 days until departure, Tucson bound! Cheers!

These are great. Thanks for sharing. I did get a chuckle out of “de-camping” but it’s all good.

Thanks Kevinc. Ah yes, "de-camping"...as in "de-parting de ol' campsite!"

Your lists are great! Mine are on 4x6 cards on a ring in a plastic protector. The set hangs on a command hook inside the door when I'm at camp, and by my chocks when I'm on the road. I also have a list for electric things to add to the trailer if I am going to have hookups--ceramic heater, Cuisinart tabletop oven, etc. and another potential list of adds depending on expected weather.
