5.0TA Questions

Hi all,
Doing some planning and packing for my new trailer pickup.

Can someone tell me the inner dimensions of the kitchen drawers (we will be getting the oven if that makes a difference)?

Also what is the distance between the bed and the side of the trailer?

Thanks for you help!

Having built my own drawers I am not sure what the size is. It would be easy to pick something up at a store after pickup too.

I can answer the bed question after the weekend, as I am bringing my trailer back home after this Thanksgiving weekend of camping. I do know that it is a tapered dimension, narrowing to the front.

Are you looking for a silverware holder? I tried several that are out there and none of 'em fit in the drawers in my 21, which are the same in the 5.0TA. I'm using an insert thingie (completely blanking on what it's called right now - ack! Need food to start the brain!) from Charlie of RV Widgets. You can also flip it around the other direction for wider drawers, such as the ones in the drawer stack.

I've included photos of the inserts. I thought I had one showing the silverware, but I don't. I'll snap a photo of it after breakfast, as well as getting you exact measurements.

I have a new 5.0 TA with an oven. The inside dimensions my drawers are 8 5/16" wide x 17 5/16" long x 4" deep.

There is a bit more than 11" along the sides of the mattress.

Is this at the nose, or at the steps. There is a taper to the nose. I measured what it is, but forget.

5.0TA Questions

Duhh! I forgot about the taper.
I'm measuring about 10" by the cubby and 12" at the foot of the bed. That space is 65" long (on each side).

Oh yay on getting your answers. I never got around to it. Wanted to wash the trailer before the neighbor put out her laundry to dry. (Water can go over the fence, so I have to be lots more careful washing when she puts them out as the line is close to the fence.)

Then decided to wash the Tundra. Then, what the heck, let's wash the FJ since it's parked in front of the Tundra.

Of course it'll rain now. Hee, hee. But at least the major grime and all that pollen is off the rigs now.

Whew!

OMG, my legs are really feeling it from going up and down the ladder washing that stinking trailer. Least the wider rungs on the ladder make it so the bottoms of my feet aren't killing me like they did with the other ladder I used to use.

Speaking of washing and since this is a thread on the 5.0TA. I sure hope owners of this trailer are comfortable going up and down ladders, as you're gonna be going up higher than I was when you wash it. I'm not too thrilled with the height I have to do and certainly would not like it for the 5.0.

Just something to think about for anyone trying to decide between the two (I know the OP has already decided, but others reading this thread may not).

The 5.0 TA has electric jacks so I can either lower them to get to the top of the trailer with a smaller ladder or stand in the bed of my pickup to wax or clean the bugs off of the front.

I did the same thing installing my solar, and had no trouble reaching half way across off the step ladder. I thought it looked like the 5.0TA was kneeling.
