6V Battery Question
It's time to replace the 6 volt batteries in my 2013 E19. Does anyone know what brand battery ETI is currently using? Mine came with Interstate GC2-XHD-UTL batteries, but I think those are discontinued. I've been happy with the interstate batteries and they have worked well with my solar setup. thanks, Chris

The last I heard they were still using the Interstates - the current model is the GC2-ECL-UTL.
And a note about possible sources of comparable batteries:

While the same manufacturer can supply a range of models of different performance and quality to different customers, I wouldn't be surprised if the same battery as found under the Interstate label is also available under several other brand labels.

Looks like group GC2 6v batteries are in short supply right now. I can't find any Interstates. A local supplier has some US Battery 2200 XC2 batteries in stock. Does anyone have experience with US Battery?

I have no idea who builds Trojan and care even less but ETI told me they were 'approved:'.

I think the critical piece is the gc2 form factor to fit in the box. If you go to lithium you don’t’ need the box if it’s inside. Agm I’d still use a box with venting.

Trojan builds Trojan batteries. Unlike Interstate, Trojan is a battery manufacturer, not just a distributor.

A normal Escape 19 installation has the batteries in the front cargo box, or if there is no cargo box then in individual boxes on the tongue. That means that other sizes are easy to accommodate, perhaps with just a box change if that makes it easier to find suitable batteries. Basic boxes are cheap compared to the battery.

Ah I missed that, I have a 21 with box under the bench and ergo the need for a vent.

And, they have an extensive, informative website.
