Additional 70 1/2" sewer tube holder

Anyone get the additional 70 1/2" sewer tube holder (for storage purposes) that is on build sheet? This is EXTRA storage, not for main sewer tube holder. I've heard some use it to store fishing poles. Any other reasons to get it or storage uses for it?

I don't know if it will fit in the round tube, but I added a 5" plastic fence post to hold a 6' folding ladder.

Also forgot to mention I was told the tube holder is 4" in diameter.

Here you go. This is the five foot version of the ladder Jon has, I didn't realize the length of the sewer tube until we got our trailer and realized that the six foot ladder won't quite fit. Not sure whether ETI would be willing to do a 73" sewer tube, there is certainly plenty of room under the trailer for one a bit longer.

I have a second sewer tube I store my Wilson OTR antenna in. It is mounted in front of the standard sewer tube. Have had to replace the door before as the design is pretty weak with the composite pin easily breaking. After the mount on the original tube broke I could see that ETI uses some generic tubing and glues on the Valterra ends that hold the doors. Decided to go vinyl fence post and first brougt home the 5x5 from HD that Jon Vermylie uses for his ladder. It it too massive for my needs so returned it and got the 4X4. There is enough room in it for the antenna and fishing poles and doesn't hang too low. Probably need the high lift axle to safely use the 5x5. Both tubes are now a little more forward and the original is gone so there is better clearance on angle.

Like John I bought the end caps, yet had to get them on Amazon as HD doesn't stock them for the 4x4. Only planning to open one side for now; used a single stainless screw on the non-opening side. For the other side I wanted something simple and easy. Trolled the Ace store for an off-label solution and finally found it at a grocery store. Stainless straw that has a curve and long enough so it isn't likely to wander out on its own. I did drill a hole for a cotter pin, yet don't think I need it.

Valterra has an adjustable hose carrier. For Amazon users, it's not available through Prime, but I did see it's available at my local Home Depot.

That's what I bought as a second hose carrier for my antenna. Got it on Amazon Prime and see it now:

Yours is a different model: Size: 34"-60"

The one I referenced: Size: 50"-94"

Thanks for all the ideas. What brand ladder is that? Can't seem to find it.

I understand that you can store this ladder inside the tube...

Not needed for an Escape is it?

Only if someone wanted to put in a bit longer ladder in a tube. See David's post here, post five in this thread: https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f...tml#post375204

So the five foot ladder will fit in the additional 70 1/2" sewer tube option
from ETI?

I have the 6' version of this ladder. Be sure to look for the 2 sided version (they make a single side that is lighter, cheaper, but not as useful).

Thank you! I saw some pictures of your ladder on your blog in the 2017 Quartzsite part, if I remember right

The link I posted is for the double sided version. 6' version would be better but would it fit in the sewer tube holder? We kind of like that idea.

I'm not sure the 6' or 5' ladder will fit in the option provided by ETI. I'm hoping someone here knows. I was quoted that the tube is only 4" in diameter. That could be wrong, I'm not sure.

I'm positive that the 6' or 5' will fit in the fence post or after market tube mod that others have done.

Just checked the dimensions and re-read the above posts. The 6' ladder is too long to fit into the option provided by ETI. We too are wanting the 6' ladder so it looks like this mod is in order once we get our trailer.
