Highlander won't have wiring fo a controller- not that you couldn't add it. One great way to get a brake controller without wiring it in is the Prodigy RF which uses Bluetooth technology. Had one and was great, sold it with my 17B as my Yukon does have the wiring.
There is one for sale here from a forum memeber- 7th Heaven as he likewise bought another vehicle pre-wired for a controller.

Being a first-time trailer for us, I'm very glad we have the back-up camera. I use it as a rear-view mirror, and I really do like to know if there is someone behind me. Personal preference. We also are glad we have the solar panels, and at the time we purchased, the electric awning was our only option, I believe. (2018). We are happy with it.

Myself I went with a suitcase portable solar panel, for a few reasons.
1. I want to use the panel without the Escape, such as on my Trillium.
2. I like camping in shade, panel needs to be in the sun.
3. I don’t like drilling holes in the fiberglass.

I didn't know we were voting.
I prefer looking ahead, down the road, than at a monitor.
And, I use my mirrors.

I just got my 19 in June. I had solar installed because I do a lot of boondocking.
I purchased a back up camera from Garmin as it integrates with my current GPS. What I wanted it for, was to watch my bikes on the hitch. On my return from BC, I was passed by a Springer van with a 4 bike rack...the last bike was half off the rack and rubbing on the ground. I don't think its necessary for backing up the trailer, but if you are paranoid like I am in not knowing what's happening to several thousand dollars worth of bikes on the back of a trailer, its priceless.
I wish...I'd have spent the extra on the automatic canopy. Now I have to be responsible and lower the canopy when I leave the camper and at night. I've witnessed wind blasts in Utah at all times of the day and night.

Have you had that center-mounted rear view mirror removed yet, to remove it as a distraction when not towing?

You stated your opinion in #44 and I stated my opinion.

Nope, but I don't hang stuff from the mirror and I don't drive with the rear window wiper operating. Those are distracting.

I just use old-fashioned self-control to consciously direct my attention where it’s needed. Most of the time that’s forward. Part of the time it’s the sides and rearward. Situational awareness on all sides, right? For whatever reason I don’t have issues with distraction.

Solar panels - definitely yes. They are so efficient, that even during cloudy, rainy weather in the mountain forests, the batteries are recharged by the time we get up in the morning. Knowing we always have a source of power for lights, etc gives real peace of mind...especially when boon-docking.
Outdoor shower - wonderful option if you own a large water/mud-loving dog.
Counter extensions - great way to extend counter space while cooking, doing dishes, or a as a place to put coffee cup, etc while lounging with the dinette table in down position. We've added three extra shelves and use them frequently: one to the left of the sink near the doorway (does not interfere with the entrance way) and one on each side of the dinette.
Extra insulation - If you ever expect to use the furnace, this is a no-brainer. We use the furnace (sparingly) during extended cool rainy periods, when the mountain night-time temperatures drop down, etc to take the chill off, and the extra insulation keeps the trailer cozy that much longer. I imagine it would have the same insulating effect against the heat when using the air conditioner.
Are LED lights for inside the trailer still an option? If so, they reduce battery consumption significantly.

LED's are standard now, interior and exterior...all but one little one on the license plate...
