Absolutely, otherwise it is not really code, but a coffee flavoured drink. No booze either.

Though, I do have a couple cappuccino per year after a super out.

Apparently we are the odd ones, as we certainly drink our morning (and evening) beverages in bed using a couple pillows. I'm often up first and anxious to get outside so I will often take it to go but some mornings depending on weather and bugs we will have multiple cups in bed.

Note that even with a couple of pillows I'm not sitting straight up as I think that would take more pillows than we are willing to carry to fill the angled space, but if I want to stay in bed I don't mind something closer to lounging than sitting, if that makes any sense. I think my shorter wife may sit up more than I do.

Mike, being an odd one here is totally acceptable, I have been (self)accused many times.

I am curious as to why have coffee in bed as opposed to at a table where you can deal with a bunch of other stuff? I have never drank anything in bed more than water in the evening though, and that might be a part of my unsureness.

Why? I suppose it is part habit from our weekend time where we tend to stay in bed a bit longer (than a workday) relaxing either watching tv/videos or reading until we formulate our plan for the day. This is more common during the winter months at home though.

If it's pouring rain in the morning while traveling we will most likely put a movie on and stay in bed as that is where we watch most of our videos and find it more comfortable than the dinette. Unless I'm ready for bacon, then it's time to get dressed and make the bed for the day as no food in bed.

I admit I don't have a good reason and we are not adamant about doing it in the trailer. If we are getting an early start or have a plan I will be up and using the dinette or a chair outside. Most days, weather permitting I'm up and outside, sometimes with the tea kettle outside with me if my wife is sleeping in, but sometimes we veg a bit in bed...

Unfortunately and this is by choice, we have fur babies that travel with us and their instinct once the sun is up is the need to go outside. Once they awaken, any chance of sleeping in has been eliminated and they are ready to go out and walk and be fed their breakfast.

That will keep you young and active! Make sure to pack your rain gear though!

FB tells a 23 is coming out. An “upgrade” for coffee in bed here the solution?

I guess it is a matter of what you are used to. Being up usually well before 6am and being a morning person, I just like to get going at things.

Besides, I don't think I have watched anything on a TV in the morning, as mentioned above (or elsewhere) TV is not really much of a thing we do unless evening and it is miserable outside.

I came from a background of hardass backcountry camping, long backpacking, ski touring or canoeing, 2-14 days. Not much chance for TV there, heck not even cell phones.

And I too am a weather decent outside (hopefully at least above freezing) and eager to be out there type person. We are usually found outside our trailer when at camp ourselves, and find there are a bunch of others that are like that, even in the morning. We do also see that many are inside their trailer a whole bunch, but hey, to each their own, as what brings happiness to one is not always best for another..

Most meals we eat outside, especially in a beautiful setting.

And like Jim, we have a dog who very much likes to be outside. He has met a couple hundred Escape people over the years.

23 is an awkward number.

I prefer 24.

It seems ETI only likes the odd numbers. 5, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, and now 23.
Or Tammy and Reace skipped half their schooldays.....

I never knew so many folks lingered in bed drinking coffee. And watching TV without getting up and going for the day.

Not me. Up, make my mug of instant Nescafe, with lots of milk and sugar, , and sit at the dinette table and drink it with my breakfast. When I'm up for the day, I'm up.

We are a diverse group. Heck, some of you don't even seem to realize how good a cup of Nescafe is.

We’ve done it twice and you know what they say “ Threes a charm”
A 24 or 25 ft would let them compete with Bigfoot and would give Jim N another reason to buy another new Escape .

Precisely why we bought when we did! You never know when all of a sudden the trailer or options you really want are no longer available...

As for me... the best part of waking up (*cue the Folgers song) is Earl Grey Tea with vanilla creamer in my cup!!! Yum! And the bigger the mug, the better.
