Anderson Levelers and Rapid Jack

Just purchased both the levelers and rapid jack for our 5 TA. Impressed with the quality. Heavy duty and well made. Just the ticket for ease of leveling or in the event of a flat tire.

What is the rapid jack?

Just a bigger more solid version of 1 of the levellers. Works for tandem axels. Just put it under the tire next to the tire which is flat and drive onto it until the axel rises and the flat tire is freed up. Change the tire and drive off. Easy? Hopefully.

Of if all else fails I will just pull out my auto club membership and let someone else in a big truck deal with the tire!

Hi: Mark James... Don't forget to cut off about 1& 1/2" of the thin edge of the wedge. Otherwise they'll get stuck between the tires. Alf

Just curious, could you not use one Anderson leveler like the rapid jack to get the wheel on same side off the ground?

Don’t think it would be high enough. The rapid jack is bigger and heavier.

Keep in mind I have different suspension then you, I tried it, the 2nd wheel did not come off he ground, YMMV.

Just one leveler as long as you’re using both of them on the same side which would be normal for leveling. We went ahead and shortened both of them so either one would work and I wouldn’t get more mixed up than I already am. Check them in a good spot once they're shortened to make sure they are short enough rather than wait till you’re in a “field” situation.
We used a bandsaw with an oil feed, worked great. Put a bevel on the front edge so the tire doesn’t try to skid them back but instead rolls right up.

The plastic on the Andersen Leveler is easy to cut. I used a hacksaw to do it in the field. However, you may want to leave a little room to make a cleaner cut in the future. I cut mine just in front of the first hole (I'm not sure how many inches that was).

Just made the cut. Used a table saw and slanted the blade. About 1.5 inches.

For those living close to Fraserway RV in Canada-they have the Anderson Jack and levellers on sale this week . Just picked up one of each. I figured instead of buying 2 levellers I would use the jack as one leveller along with the regular leveller. Has anyone else tried this?

Have not tried it but notice that the rapid jack has a higher profile. You may have challenges keeping the two jacks operating in tandem.

Anderson levellers.
Mine were slipping on blacktop and sometimes on gravel.Screwed on some rubber mat with threads on to make them stay in one place.Works good, no more slippage.

Yes, you're right. I notice when I level my trailer with 2x6s that many times I only need one board under one wheel. I am hoping the profile (which is similar on both leveller and jack for the first few inches) wont be a concern.
