Two days ago, 16 below (Fahrenheit) and this morning, 4 below. Picking up our new 21 in 6 weeks, can't wait. Cabin fever can be a chronic or even terminal conditions in Wisconsin.

I just got a couple of photos from friends that have a house in Leadville, CO. They have a long, long way to Spring! The last time I was there we had a frost in August...

We are supposed to get 6” to10” of snow Sat PM / Sun AM
Moving snow piles today in anticipation. Temps are in the upper 20’s to low 30’s F
Too warm for snow shoveling, almost T shirt weather but it has to be done !

Spring is Stalled

Our revised weather forecast calls for 8” to 10” of fresh snow to fall later this week in Northern Wisconsin

Snow is going well north of us. I attribute this to “clean living.” Down here the bluebirds are selecting homes, pheasants are crowing constantly and Jake and I found a shed deer antler on our walk this last week. My plan is to wedge in some Redhorse fishing this week as I have a craving for deep fried sucker balls. All the frost is out of the ground and some onions have been planted according to my brother. He’s trying pellitized beet seed this year. Said he bought a thousand, might have a few for me.

Guess I need to stay on the southern course next month on the way to Chilliwack.

I planned on getting my trailer out of storage this week to start about 2 weeks worth of necessary repairs but now it looks like it will have to wait till after Easter .
Hope you have a safe journey to Osoyoos

My son said the daffodils are just poking through the soil at home on the shore of Lake Ontario. Here in central eastern Tennessee, they are already bloomed & done.

The Bluebonnets here are starting to fade a bit, being replaced with all sorts of other wildflowers. The Texas Hill Country is something to behold around this time, with green everywhere and every color of wildflower under the rainbow. Temps are perfect, 50s, 60s and 70s. Soon enough though, we'll have our hot summer.

I had winterized my trailer in northern Utah on the way home. It seems it was not needed. I have taken it to the rented parking spot I have for it to get it out of the way for working here. Hopefully get it unwinterized soon as it looks pretty good for camping Easter weekend right now, highs in the high single digits, and lows around freezing. Let's hope it holds.

Think I will deep fry a couple turkeys again, and nice to do it out camping. Not sure if you all realize, but having a beer or glass of wine is mandatory while the turkey(s) cook.

We left Austin early Saturday to head to Chilliwack to pick up our 5.0TA. Got out of town just before severe rain and storms hit and have had clear sailing so far. In Price, Utah tonight, it was 65 and sunny when we got here. Looks like we'll encounter rain when we get up into Oregon tomorrow, but nothing serious and looks like no freezing precipitation on the mountain roads. And the forecast for Friday when we take possession of our 5.0TA in Sumas and head to the Lynden KOA is sunny!

Went kayaking today. Bummer, forgot my SPF 50 sun tan cream.

Yup, great when Spring finally springs. Daffodils, tulips and camellia all in bloom.

Those photos of the white stuff make me shiver.

Sunny, no snow, 70° down at Socorro, NM yesterday, at the really big high school rodeo event there. It's about 15 miles from the Bosque del Apache but the usual thousands of snow geese have already left for BC.

Well, the best laid plans....we are in Utah just south of Salt Lake City on our way to Chilliwack. Last night I seem to have contracted a severe case of food poisoning, up all night and in no shape to travel today. We built one extra day into our travel schedule for potential weather issues...wasn't planning on this but hopefully I'll get over it quickly and be back on the road tomorrow morning, on track to get there in time for our Friday orientation. What an adventure!
