as if we all needed another reason.....

I'm currently in Haida Gwaii, with the trailer (without a name as of yet), and ran into a problem with the wiring in my truck. Now here's the really cool part.....

With what other company could you phone the owners and have them be extremely helpful over the phone with trouble-shooting the problem? I dare say none that I've come across.

Here's a super big thank you to Tammy and Reace for helping with my electrical dilemma. The problem is now solved (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself).

(for fun I attached a photo of the first camp on the way to Haida Gwaii - a very nice free site at Helena Lake, just north of Lac La Hache - worth the visit, with or without the snow).

That's what I needed. And more pix please.

I'm now going to go out to the carport and sit in my Escape for the rest of the evening...

Good for Tammy and Reace.

Looks like fun. What temps is it dropping to and how is it for comfort in your Escape?

Does your canoe double as a good toboggan as well? :0

Re: as if we all needed another reason.....

Hi Jim,

The temps are currently about -3 - but with an 80km wind it feels colder (and a bit vulnerable in the little trailer). The heater has no problem keeping with the temperature, better out of the wind. I am thinking about upgrading at some point to the thermal windows.

Haven't tried the canoe as a sled yet, it's kevlar, so light but not super bash proof.

I hope the evening in the carport was great Glenn. I attached a photo of the cool view that greeted me at Agate Beach campground (north end of Haida Gwaii).

Cheers,
Dirk

Dirk, I am sure the thermal windows will help immensely. There is no question that I would be going with them. The stick trailer I have now while I wait for production of the 19 just has single pane windows, and they fog up bad with only me in there if the temps get to, or below freezing.

Take it from a glazier.... thermal windows are the only way to go.
A quick question for Reace, are the thermal windows you install
made with grey reflective (privacy) glass?
