Looking at a timelapse I shot the same night, it looks like I was threading the needle between sunset and moonrise, so that time should be about right.

Nice work! For sure.

Here is my next door neighbor's site. I will take a quick pic of his telescope. Right now it is in the clam shell waiting for the top to roll back.

Warning: This guy is nuts!

I suspect he has a very nice (read expensive) scope under that dome...based on the quality of his images!

I think the telescope is north of 25K.

The clam shell itself is stunning.

The serial number on the scope is '8'.

I also enjoy non telescope astrophotography. This one of Devils Tower is a composite of 5 images made by slight rotations of the camera on a tripod. I even caught a couple of meteors. The image here is a small jpg; the original is 200MB.

Speaking of telescope domes, when I was at the 2014 Osoyoos Escape rally a number of us went to the Observatory Bed And Breakfast on the hill overlooking the campground. An amazing place that is currently closed. They move to their observatory in Arizona for the winter. Some photos of our visit: Escape Rally, Day 2

That's a beauty, Jon.

If you ever get the chance, stay at the climber's cabin (there's only one). It's in the park!!! They have two bedrooms with stunning views.

Funky? Yes, of course. Still great.

I stayed at Jack Newtons place back in 2008. An amazing home. Even though he’s an amateur, he managed to get time on the Hubble to photograph Supernova. Pretty cool!
