back up camera

Sorry to bring this up: Was reading where someone had used a laptop dialed into a camera on the back of his trailer as a backup camera. Can someone direct me to this link? Does it work?

Here is a link on the topic.

If that doesn't work, just do a search on "wireless". The thread links to a Youtube video. You could also go there and search.

Tons of options for WiFi cameras out there to connect to either a phone, tablet or computer.

The one thing I don't care for is that most need a power supply, where I would much prefer an all in one unit, something like this one.

I don't care to have one on the back of the trailer though, just maybe to see the hitch in the bed is all.

Hi Jim,
I'm looking for a similar back up camera too. Like the model you linked here but wonder about its range .... a common complaint. I'd like to be able to "stick" the camera to a place where it will show my coupler / ball for hitching ..... but I would also like to move it to the rear of my trailer to assist when backing into a camp site in low light. The range issue comes to mind here.

I travel solo and getting in and out of the drivers seat many times can sure be a pain.

Tom
