Breaking Bad

Well I just finished the final episode of Breaking Bad. I had heard a lot of people talking about it but never gave it a chance while it was on tv. After seeing it available on Netflix for about a year, I finally gave it a go. One episode turned into two, then three, then like meth will do...I was hooked!

I am one of those people where it doesn't matter how good the story line is, if the acting is terrible, it looses me. This is a believable story with great acting. Unfortunately the downside of Netflix is it made for some long nights as you just have to see what happens next! I now have my life back now that I am at the end. All I can say is Wow...one of the best tv shows I have ever watched!

Now what am I going to do?

Glad to see you escaped from "Escape" for a few hours. If you haven't already try "The Wire" next.

We did the same a year or so ago. It was addicting, many a night watching several episodes.

Now that you finished that one you can try House of Cards, 2 seasons so far with the 3rd about to start.

We enjoyed the Breaking Bad series too, and watched it all.

I have watched all the 24 sereies, one of the original of this type, and really enjoyed the action in them.

Dexter was another one very well done.

We have had a ton of others recommended to us, but man, it really sucks at your free time to watch very much. Plus, when we go camping it is a rare event to watch a video.

This is not a political statement in any way, but don't you think that Gurs Fring, the drug kingpin, looks a bit like Barack Obama.

It took us a loooong time to get through them. The episodes are about well less than an hour with commercials removed. We would watch 2 or 3 episodes one night a week, sometimes two, though sometimes none as well.

That would be one surprise I would really like.

I've always wanted a Tiger, but I consider them overpriced (100k), but I might pay that much for a rig with an Escape body.

After I figure out how to win the lottery, that is. Except Utah doesn't have a lottery...

Dude, you're like a few minutes from Idaho. The Phillips Station in Franklin will hook you up. I consider the Lottery a Stupidity Tax, but it'd be pretty easy to play.

There was that episode that made me a little nervous to camp out in the desert alone though...

"Lilyhammer" - New Jersey mobster (played by Steven Van Zandt who among other things also played guitar in the E Street Band) chooses Lillyhammer for his witness protection location. US mobster adapts to Norwegian socialist society. It does take a few episodes to grow on you.

Plowed through it a year ago. Amazing show.

As for GoT, love(d) the books for better understanding the characters. I also like playing the " oh, they changed that..." game when watching the tv show.

Move on to either/both Deadwood and/or House of Cards. Worse addiction than meth!

I tried Dexter, but couldn't get into it...maybe I try again. Maybe House of cards.

I loved Breaking Bad for all the 'Ooooo....I can't believe he said that!' ...or the 'YEAH...stick it to him!' moments! I feel like I'm going through withdrawal now ...lol! I need to mourn for Walt for awhile! Crazy!

I know it's not trailer talk...this has been my perverbial 'stiff drink' for the past few weeks!

I enjoyed Orange is the New Black. Like you with Dexter, I watched half an episode and switched off. Later, I went back to it and was immersed.

Orange grill covers?
