Build notice

Received an email that ETI will start my build next week. The anticipation factor is starting to build. Got my reservations made at Fort Worden SP, Cascade Locks in Oregon, West Yellowstone, Grand Tetons NP and Riverton for the Eclipse. I just turned 62, so I bought the senior pass for the National Parks. Almost set.

Congratulations, Barton.
All those places are wonderful spots to visit. And the "Geezer" pass is the bargain of the century. (We stayed at Kettle Falls for 9 bucks two nights ago!)
Enjoy that first trip!

When did or do you plan to make your ETI orientation reservation?

It will be ready July 14th and we will pick it up July 31st. We will be in Riverton, WY for the eclipse. We will leave Austin July 26th and return to Austin August 24th. We will be at Cascade Locks for a couple of days. My son has heard that Mt Hood has snow skiing year around and he and his girlfriend want to take lessons.

I didn't phrase my question correctly. Did you wait until Escape told you your trailer was in production before making you Orientation date, or did you make your Orientation date before then? Our current completion date is Aug 17. Should I set my orientation date now, or wait to see if the date changes?

Wen I finalized my build sheet was told my completion date was moved up (Yay!) to Aug 1. Was told to set up appt for orientation sooner than later, as they only do 2 USA and 1 Canadian per day.

I made my official pickup/orientation date a couple of months ago about the time I submitted my final build sheet. Unofficially the date was set a several months earlier (in my head) as I was planning this month long trip. I believe one can set the date any time after the completion date. As sumac.rhus said only three orientations a day. It seems I remember ETI telling me that they have two slots a day for sending a trailer through the border.

Purchasing the Senior Pass was a wise investment.

I went to the C.O.E park at Lake Georgetown and purchased the pass for $10. It is $20 online. Of course I spent $10 on gas to go there. The online site says there is a back log of at least six weeks. This past Wednesday I became eligible for the pass. And I applied for SS. I guess I am a senior citizen now.

Senior pass

I watched a fellow buy his senior pass at the National bison range near Dixon Montana last week, He got it on the spot. The attendant said they were going to 80 dollars but she did. not know when. "The government tells us nothing." I said welcome to the club. We saved $153 on our Rally trip to Osoyoos last year using the geezer pass. And used it several times elaswhere.

Good to know, Barton! I'd thought of trying to buy one there, but now that I know they've got them, I'll definitely go over and do it. Gas from my house is prolly only $8.50.

Yes! Skip's already got one, so we're good as long as I bring him with me...but it seems like a good idea to get my own.

Yes, getting your own is a good idea before they go to $80 any time now. I know someone who lost his and the couple only had one. They are getting new ones.
