The NorCal roundup in Quincy should be nice. Went to the Scamp Camp rally there earlier this year and was very happy with the park. Wonderful location and amenities. Then it's off to the Jamala rally 2 days later. Busy September!

How is the I70 for traveling? Looks like a fun road (curves) on the map.

I just checked the weather. Small craft advisory in effect so be ready for the (in)famous Jalama wind. Here's to a good time! I'm heading out there in the am so I'll be in the black hole for the rest of the week, see you there.

Everyone have a GREAT time at the get-together. Just said goodbye to our three week-long visitors and awaiting the arrival of another group for a week. Looking wistfully at our Unser Ei, sitting out in the back, wishing we could be with you all.

Steve,

I'm shoving off in an hour. I'll be bringing a table and serving plates and bowls for Fri and Sat dinner. Will you need anything else from me or are you going to be otherwise self contained? (after seeing the creek flow out there, I'm hoping you're bringing fish and not counting on catching dinner!).

Nice fish steve! Kathy and I are headed to Carlsbad State Beach today for a week long break. I have caught corvina and croaker there in the past. Kathy likes to fish, and make fish tacos!
Have fun up there.

I saw the wind forecast and we will have fun regardless! BTW, we've got everything we need for Saturday night including tables...and I do well but my wife always out fishes me. You will see...

We survived!

The wild Californian's survived the rally! No swat teams were called out and no one had to post bail! 4 19's and 2 21's descended on Jalama Beach County Park this past weekend. Glorious time was had by all, weather spectacular, the food was great and lots of fun. Did I mention the food was great (hint, hot fish tacos and BBQ'd tri-tip!). No howling at the moon but a couple of us got the urge.

Nope, no snow was in the forecast (I just threw that in for you in the great white north!). Sure, we're snooty but not toooo exclusive, we actually had a Scamp drive-by.

We dabbled in rap, more on that one in the next post.

Here's a couple shots of the fun:
