We received our 2021 21NE today. The installed Captains lights DO NOT have a USB port. Someone on here asked and I said I would report back once I received my trailer.

So the factory stopped installing the USB/Captain lights?

I don't know if they ever installed them. The OP was asking because they are working on their build sheet and want to know if they need to order additional USB ports.

Beginning to hear of folks who got mid August deliveries and no USB ports on the Captain’s lights. Wondering if anyone with a post mid August delivery got the USB lights?

I'd check with my sales person to determine the current build type Captain lights

Been checking for nearly 2 months. The folks who tell the sales folks what components are standard, optional or non existent have told our sales person that lights with USB are standard. Some buyers with June deliveries reported getting the USB version.
I started asking new owners because we had a caveat in our build sheet that allowed a late mod back to wall mounts if it turned out that the light USB didn’t materialize. I asked for the caveat because every time I asked if the new models were rolling out with USB lights, nobody at ETI could confirm an answer. Yes, you would think that it would be simple for someone to walk over to a new trailer as it is getting prepared to load on a truck and look at the Captain’s lights, but despite me asking every 10 days or do, nobody ever did.
As we were drawing nearer to a day when putting in wall mount USB ports would miss the window of opportunity, I started asking on this and other forums, if new builds were arriving with the USB lights as I had sorta been told was happening for two months. So far, no one has seen the now “standard” USB lights.
Yesterday, I exercised my option for a late change to the final build sheet and asked ETI to install several wall mount USB ports.
Thanks to all who have repeatedly suggested that I should ask ETI instead of ask owners here, but after two months of asking, my sales person still couldn’t get a definite answer from her contacts within ETI even as late as yesterday.

And as everyone has tried to tell you. You can ask owners if you wish. But the definitive answer comes from ETI. No matter what anyone tells you here.

If you choose to think that I don’t understand who makes final decisions about what ETI offers, feel free to do so.

So, other than curiosity, what is the motivation for asking here? It's not like it's going to help you one iota with your build.

It is really quite simple. ETI has said one thing, but the real world outcomes have been different. I wouldn’t have known that USB lights were actually not being installed without asking new owners what they received as standard lights.
As for the iota, the knowledge I obtained here from people who actually answered my question as opposed to those who felt a need to explain to me how the world works, allowed me to avoid passing the point of no return in getting wall mount USB charge ports if it turned out that the promised USB lights failed to materialize, which as evidenced by several responses both here and on Facebook by people who were similarly told that the USB lights were now standard, appears to be the case.

When I picked up my 17B in June in Sumas, the first thing my son noticed was the many usb outlets, including on the captain's lights. It was a surprise and I would not have ordered as many outlets had I known they would be on the lights. Not a problem though.
That said, I do wish the issue with the Suburban SDS2 stovetop would be resolved.

This is unfair, since this is more likely a supply issue than lazy configuration specialists. Your build sheet caveat is a good idea though.

This was not a slam on the configuration folks. They are asking others who have supply responsibilities and they could not get answers from them.

There you go then, if the supply folks can’t provide an answer it’s a supply issue.
