[QUOTE=Jake930;175270]Travel lodge is pet friendly also. We had our two dogs with us,better grab the room while you can!

I guess they don't advertise it is all then. We will do the 9 1/2 hr drive out the 26th, and show up for orientation at 8am the next morning, but that should not take long, then hit the road for home that same day. Don't plan on doing any camping at through the mountains at that time of the year.

Because of this driving is why my thought is to leave Jasper with a brother or a friend. That way he will get a couple good walks in, something not likely to happen travelling with us.

The room is booked. Let's hope now they get our trailer ready.

Hope the trip is going well - assume you're in New Mexico/Arizona or so? Safe travels and looking forward to updates as you hit north California and beyond.

Hi Tom! Thanks for the posts. Keep us updated. We are leaving Saturday morning. Had to reschedule for 01/16. We may head for the coast at Redding, CA or even further south.

All of you Texas people be careful and keep us posted on your trip. I'm envious of you getting your trailers now, but not that trip. We're both southerners and never driven in snow. For that matter, never really seen that much snow.

I know you have seen pictures, but here is my truck, taken just now from the window of a customers house.

Actually, we made it to San Diego in two days. We stopped in Las Cruces then came into San Diego wed. night. The passes looked bad Thursday morning so we waited a day. We are heading to Red Bluff in the morning. From there, we can divert to the coast or continue up I5 depending on conditions. I5 still looks like the best choice as the coast has snow and isn't plowed as often as I5.

Thank you for the update! Fred and Dora will leave our house Saturday and we'll be about 11 days behind them. Stay safe!

We plan to leave our house in North Van and head for Whole Paycheck in West Van Friday morning, weather permitting.
