Mike we obviously don't even camp in MB in the winter so it would have been hard to plan a winter rally. I know you travel north in the summer to get away from FL heat so if you're back up this way the regular MB FG and vintage trailer rally is the same weekend as the boler one was last year, held at St. Malo, about half hour north of the border. It's like the boler rally on a much smaller scale with most trailers there being bolers. Iowa Dave and Rita came three years ago.

Yes Lake of the Woods freezes over completely even the very open south end which borders ON, MN, and MB. In fact my son went ice fishing there driving truck right out onto the lake just last weekend off Buffalo Point. You may remember seeing the turnoff to it just north of the border crossing into Cda north of Warroad MN on your way to the NW angle.

Adrian , how far is it from Moose Lake Provincial Park to St Malo?
We have camped at Moose Lake and fished Buffalo Bay many times

We only had -5 below this morning and the local TV weatherman was lamenting that all too soon it would be getting hot and humid . We know winter has to end but it’s hard not to get depressed . Heading to Manitoba in late May so we do have a bright spot to look forward to
