About those West Marine chairs, we did check them out and found the high back with arms did not work well for us, and we actually liked the armless low profile model better. It was also much easier to recline. But for those considering them, the armless models did not have as good of padding as the high back one did. If you were going to place them on top of existing cushions then they would be fine but if going direct on the wood benches it would be best for a lightweight person, imo.

I've always found that modifications to the dinette area, that is, adding cushions, etc. never has worked out for me, or I find them to be uncomfortable. I guess if this was what I wanted I would look at a trailer that offered recliners in the living area. All being said you could modify the dinning areas on many trailers to accommodate a recliner, but design of many trailers would hamper this being done and you would loose storage space. Camping is a give and take and my wife says I have to give in more and adjust to my living at home ways.
