We certainly appreciate our "ambassadors" showing their trailer. I think he enjoyed showing us but still should be compensated for helping Escape make $. We were glad to take the card and turn in name when we ordered.

I recall having at least $600 credit on each of my last 3 new Escapes as well as receiving checks throughout the years. I estimate close to 18 "bird dog fees" or 18 new sales,as they are called in the automobile business. I keep asking for an "Escape Sales" ball cap................

If I know I'm going to buy, I tell Escape to credit me, otherwise they send a check. You have to be sure and have the new purchaser to mention your name to Escape. Also be aware they may also split the fee if 2 are involved.

When I updated the ownership of my pre-owned trailer with ETI I signed up for the ambassador program as a way to pay forward the assistance given to me by an owner. As a pre-owned trailer owner I assumed I wouldn't get referral money.
We've had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful local couple and an individual who drove a few hours from Connecticut. One was researching Escape 19s and the other had a deposit on a 17.
The folks who didn't have a deposit with ETI said they'd mention my name if they purchased a trailer. Maybe I'll be surprised with something from ETI in the mail sometime.
I agree, I've pleasantly discovered I get a lot out of assisting and meeting like minded outdoors people. I also get to geek out about a product I'm so enthusiastic about.

Wow, that's some serious money. Nice!
I'd also love to receive ball caps, t-shirts and jackets. I think i might be more excited about hard to come by apparel than money.

What has happened to the apparel? Seems they used to sell some on the website.

Jim, I've had people approach me at gas stations when traveling and assume I'm an Escape rep because I usually wear an Escape hat / shirt / jacket with matching logos (got them at the factory when we picked up).
These days I've added an additional accessory, when we hit the road again I will be trying to look as Canadian as possible...

My guess is that the profit margin on the mattress is huge (as a fraction of product price) compared to the profit margin on a travel trailer.

They just paid me for a showing I did a few months ago and never mentioned to them. The people I showed it to, told Escape and they sent me a nice check that I already spent on my wife's retirement gilt!
Thanks Escape industries, you did not have to do that, and we are thankful that you did!
Take care everybody!

Let's be clear, if you demo or show your Escape and they subsequently purchase a new Escape, only after their purchase you should receive a "fee or commission."..it used to be $200 in Canadian $ paid at current US rates.

Well, I have to eat my words! I just received a check for showing my trailer. My guess is the other two showings didn't put me down as a referral but the last showing did.
There is quite a delay between the showing and the check - you almost forget about it and then - surprise!
So my revised answer would now be YES!

There certainly is! We sold our 5.0 single axle in 2018 whilst visiting in ON. Enroute GA-ON we stopped to show the trailer to a couple in PA who subsequently bought a new Escape a year later. I received a surprise $100 cheque for this showing last year. I still had the phone number and called to thank them and congratulate them on the Escape.

That is my understanding as well. And I was advised that is why I received a check. Thank you for clarifying.

Might be they issue the check when the sale is finalized, as in pick up date.
