Cot?...raised floor?

I have some questions regarding the ‘Cot’ in a 19...I’m not really sure what that is. Is it a bunk? And the ‘raised floor’, what’s the advantages to that. I guess you lose that option with a Cot. Pics or a link might be helpful. Thx

If you go to Escape website there is a picture of the front cot in the E21 NE which is the 21 model on the E19 layout. Basically they have to install during the build supports in the walls for the met al poles for the bunk. The raised floor is for those who have trouble looking out the front window.

The cot is a heavy-duty fabric slung between metal poles that engage with brackets installed under the driver and passenger side windows in the front of the 19.

Here are some links to the cot in use:

I don't think the raised floor would negate the option to have the cot or vice versa. It would simply reduce the clearance between the dinette bed and the cot when set up.

Another option is to raise the seat bench height, easy to do and leave the floor flat.

If you are tall you may not want the raised floor. I am 6'4" and I would be hitting my head every time I got in or out of the seat if it was higher than the standard level floor.

We have the cot and Reace said we couldn't get the raised floor if we opted for the cot. We got the cot and glad we couldn't raise the floor because the clearance is rather tight! That said, we don't tend to use the cot. The grandkids would rather sleep on the same bed, but then they are 5 and 8.

Apparently that is what is being done on the 21NE as standard. There was an option on my 21NE build sheet for a raised dinette, but I was told that was a mistake - that they were making the seats on the 21NE 2" higher than what is standard on the 19.

There was also a note with the raised floor option saying that the cot could not be ordered with the raised dinette.
