A friend had a Prairie Schooner 5th wheel about 10 years ago. Pretty sure that was the model, though not sure who made it. It was a big as unit too, with lots of slide outs, triple axle. He now has a 25' Winnebago Mercedes motorhome.
edit: A quick search turned up that it was a Gulf Stream Prairie Schooner. Looked very much like this.

Looks like you might be an infringer. Your new rig will be so attractive that you can claim Escape misspelled the name and it was supposed to be Prairie Swooner! Should keep you out of trouble. Sure it's corny, would you expect less from an Iowa Boy?

I really wouldn't worry about the name. I doubt there is any copyright, and there is such a vast difference. 95% of folks would not be any more the wise, the rest would not care.

He got away with Black Jack, and they had that name on every thing from roofing tar to chewing gum and nicknames for Generals.

A lot of people thought I was a gambler and never picked up on BlackJack being AKA "21" as
well as there was a well missed companion known by the name blackjack.....
Prairie Schooner is just a picture of sails seen in the prairies.....
PRAIRIE SCHOONER, a wagon used for long-distance travel and freight transport in the nineteenth century. The wagon was made with six or seven arching wooden bows supporting a canvas cover. Seen from a distance, the vehicle so resembled a ship at sea as to suggest the name. Mormons, California gold-seekers, emigrants to Oregon, freighters operating on the Great Plains, and settlers seeking homesteads all used the schooner after it was brought into common use in the Santa Fe trade soon after 1821. It was not only the chief means for the transportation of goods, but it also provided a home for pioneer families as they journeyed west in search of land.

That Prairie Schooner I posted a photo of hardly qualifies as a wagon. It would take a hell of a big team of horses to pull that baby around.

I think they usually pulled them with oxen. Quite a few of the car manufacturers stated out with carriages. If you're ever in NW Indiana, don't miss the Auburn, Cord, Dusenberg Museum. Lots of history, beauty and mechanical genius to see. I have
not been to the Sudebaker Museum at South Bend but will be there in the next year or so. For you old hotrodders, remember when they used to put a Cadillac engine in a Studebaker body.? Studellacs , hot rod magazine.

I've seen the Midwest based hitch several times. Wilson foods in Cedar
Rapids had a hitch in the 50s when I was growing up too. The guys who drove the Midwesr Bud Clydesdales were from Greely Iowa for many years. A good friend of mine has Percherons and he pulls a German made cart with ten points of air suspension. Rita took a ride with him at my 50 th high school reunion.
