Day one with our new trailer...

Well, here we are on Whidbey Island after picking up our trailer yesterday. All went smoothly, all systems seem to be functioning as they should!
The orientation was great, had several chats with Reace, who helped with hitch advice. In the end we decided to go with no fancy hitch and see how it goes. What a great guy, he basically said, hey, much as I'd love to sell you one, you most likely won't need it...so we can always add later if need be. Wonderful to work with such a great company. We had about a 2-3 hour trip here, and seemed to tow fine.
So far am happy with choices, only thing I am wondering about is the drawer I had them add under the closet. Closet is pretty small as it is, so maybe shouldn't have done that, we'll see....can live with it....solar is all charged up, although were plugged in. Love the LED lights, the bed is very comfortable, and it's nice to relax for a couple of days and not to drive.
Friday we leave for Sequim, also at friends house, who have full hookups, 30amp, dump station, so we'll be able to fully test more stuff....
More later....Karen

When taking photos with an iPhone, hold the phone in landscape mode (horizontally) with the shutter button to the right, not the left. If it's to the left, and you upload the photo to a website or forum, the metadata that orients the picture correctly on the phone will be stripped, and the photo will flip upside down.

Looks great, Karen. You must have ordered the anti-gravity option.

Here you go. Nice 19! Congratulations.

Regarding the closet, everyone camps differently, but for us, we don't have "hanging up" clothes when camping. So, since we fold them, we nixed the closet and installed shelves so we could use it for something far more useful - a pantry. Something to consider?

I don't understand how folding clothes is easier than throwing them on a hanger. I grab a bunch of shirts on hangers and seconds later they are hanging in the trailer closet.

I do the same in a suitcase. When I get to the hotel I just throw them on the closet rod............drives wifey nuts.

None of my shirts have ever seen an iron so it's not that I wear clothes than need to be hung up.

Well, I never said it was easier. At home we hang clothes that we don't want wrinkled, plus we have very large closets that allow us to hang almost everything.

When camping we're typically wearing jeans, t-shirts, shorts and the like. So, there's no need to worry about wrinkling like we would with dressier clothes. By folding and storing them in either the overhead cabinets or in a bin under the bed, we can reclaim the closet and have a nice pantry. That's all. Use of the available space differs for everyone, but for us that's the best option.

My clothes have never seen an iron or hanger, in fact most of the time they don't even see the drawer in the clothes chest. I just grab them out of the laundry basket!

Lookin' good, Karen. Appreciate your pickup report, since we'll be doing that ourselves at the end of a long summer!

Vinny, a 2014 tundra crew max....Robert and Donna, thanx for cleaning up the photo!
Emile, some of my clothes have seen hangers (not those I camp with tho), but no way an iron!
Kathy and Dan, you must be there today! Congrats! Mary, not long to go for you.....actually Robert, that's an interesting idea about using the closet as a pantry. Although, I have to say, I am impressed so far with the amount of storage we have. I have no doubt we'll fill all the bins, but i don't remember this much storage in previous rigs....Karen
