delivery experience
Our new 5.0TA was successfully delivered today in Connecticut. Just thought I’d share our experience. The communication from the logistics manager was awesome. Although delivery was originally expected yesterday, we were informed of a truck breakdown that delayed delivery. We were kept informed and met the driver this morning. The driver was extremely knowledgeable, particularly coordinating the offloading of the trailer with the 3rd party tow company. All in all a great experience. Not the one we had hoped for by picking up in Chilliwack, but given today’s crazy world, we were quite happy. SS Minnow has landed!

Hi Wanda,
Congratulations!
I'm getting a 5.0ta with a Ram 1500 as well. How's the towing experience? Do you have a 5'7" bed or 6'4" bed? Any recommendations for the options to include for 5.0ta?

We had our trailer delivered to London Ontario along with a 21'. Ross towing (TV show on Discovery, Highway from Hell, unloaded the trailer). Everything went well, no issues to share. Love the trailer.

Hello Wanda,
Congratulations on your new 5.0ta. It looks great.
I like the name you selected for your trailer. Just don't be taking any of those 3 hour tours.
I'll be getting my trailer delivered in November and was wondering if you have to arrange for offloading with a towing company or does Escape make the arrangements?
How far did you have to travel to pick up your trailer?
Best wishes for many happy miles in your new Escape.

Hi Jason - we also pull a 5.0TA with a Ram 1500, looks similar to Wanda's - a quad cab with 6'4" bed. It tows like a dream, you will love it. Plenty of people have a short bed and it works just fine - I prefer the longer bed to have room for a toolbox in front of the hitch.

Congratulations Wanda on your new 5.0. We're just starting to configure our 5.0 for pick-up in Sumas on 3/16/2021 and driving home for an arrival in RI early May. I noticed that you have 2 solar panels and the King Antenna. It looks like they moved the antenna from a central position to the passenger side. It also looks like the high-lift axle results in good clearance. Happy travels!

We have the 6.4 foot bed. We’ve only towed her about 30 miles so far but she tows great so far. We’re total newbies to trailer ownership so need to get a few miles under our belt before we can really share our experiences. Many on the forum have the experience and knowledge to help you further. So far so good; lots to learn.

Escape handles all aspects of the delivery. We had requested a specific location that they were able to accommodate; however I know they spoke on one of the live streams about changing their delivery locations to specific hubs. Best you talk to them directly, but for us it was very convenient.
