Dometic Is Expanding

Just read this article. Dometic has bought Igloo Coolers, Zamp Solar and Valterra Products. They are making significant investments. To bad they don't back their products better. https://www.rvnews.com/dometic-buys-...-cooler-maker/

We will not buy Dometic in the future regardless of who they acquire. We are not impressed.

I agree, however I think that lots of companies used to COVID as an excuse to reduce services etc. Dometic service is awful.

Wouldn't be my first or second choice either, but what are you going to do if you need some holding tank repairs and Valterra is what's been used? There are slight differences between Valterra, Camco, Thetford and San Tee. Are you really going to research and look for the parent company before buying a waste valve?

Based on my experience with their 'fridge - I give them 1 star.

Based on my experience thats being generous. Dometic needs some aftermarket parts manufacturer to clone their parts. Domestic or foreign I wouldn't care.

Not a good sign for the RV industry. If an honorable company had been the acquirer it would be another thing.

In this case remember the golden rule:
