Driveway Offer

So truck pulls in at our cabin honking away this morning. I go out and a senior couple gets out of the truck. The nice lady comes up with a note in her hand apparently she was going to leave on our trailer and announces: "We're here to buy your trailer."
I guess the $50,000 price tag was just too high for them.
I told her there was a 19 for sale in MO but she said that was too far to go, hmmm. Hope they find a trailer someday.

Hi: Greg A... Didn't she understand that price included the tug? Some folks just don't recognize a bargain when they see it. Alf

That seems fair to me Greg. No waiting, and nicely customized.

I'd move that trailer tonight, just to be be cautious that it does not disappear later.

Jim,
I've got it hemmed in with the cars in front and the shed behind just in case...

Last year, half of my driveway gate had blown down. A kinda rough looking couple came into the cul-de-sac (driving an older Ford F-150), stopped and starred at the Scamp for several looong minutes. I was outside, kinda hidden from their view. When I politely asked them what they needed... they said they'd like to buy my trailer. Ummmm, no.

When they left, I got the gate put back together and screwed it shut with a good 20 long screws and some 2x2s across the back side of the gates.

You do what you have to do to protect even an old asset.
