OK. Now what?
Jim? Brent?
Donna should be reporting on Duraclear soon.

I'll call Williams-Sonoma tomorrow and see what the cost is and if they have them in stock. It's only about 10 blocks from where I work. I nice walk at lunchtime...if it's not snowing or raining!

We're good with either. If you get the dozen and there are four available, we'll take 'em. Thanks, everyone.

Read the reviews on the Wine Enthusiast, and they weren't that enthusiastic.
I'll stick with Duraclear ( at twice the unit cost ).

I apologize, just double-checked and we have the Govino wine glasses which are " pharmaceutical-grade polymer". Rated 4 stars on Wine Enthusiast and a nice looking/feeling little set. And, while we prefer glass/crystal at home, also know how clumsy we can be outside. (BTW, they're also sold on Amazon.com).

We grabbed a 4 pack of the Govino after being served wine at an event by my in-laws in one. They're great, but definitely lightweight! Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Govino-Glass-F...eywords=govino
We also have these stainless wine goblets that I love! If it's just the two of us, we use those every time. Amazon.com: RSVP Endurance Stainless Steel Wine Glass, Set of 2: Kitchen & Dining
The in-laws got us Riedel stemless, which I wish had the indent like the Govino because the cabernet glass is just a little hard for me to hold!

I have a couple of the duraclear glasses and they have held up well. They are heavier than the Govino glasses - thicker, more substantial and I prefer them. They feel better in your hand. I've been using mine about a year and they look like new. I can also report that they bounce....

Ha! Hillary, you just reminded me that I have a set of silver plated wine goblets stored away in a cabinet. Maybe I should use those in the trailer and be "le trailer Chic" (more like just "la plain silly").

Maybe you just have to get out and use them more then, Janet.
And good to hear they bounce, I have been known to do such a thing myself.

Agreed they are totally silly, and totally a conversation starter! But I vowed to put nothing breakable in the upper cabinets, and we hate eating or drinking out of plastic if we can avoid it, so we ended up with them
