East Coast Chill

Can't help it. Just shot this pic of rhubarb poking through. Looks like we already have slugs to contend with.
Anyway, take care. In a few days, you too will be able to poke your head up.

That was nasty Glen. Not because you let the back East folks know that it's lotus land on the West Coast but because your rhubarb is a bit ahead of mine.

Weather Network claims North Vancouver is at 19 C or 66F.
I think it's more like 15 C in the shade.

That was the temp here yesterday. Today was only up to 17°C. Still, we know there is still 3 more months of winter left, and anything can happen.

Temperature wise, Vancouver has been great every time I've visited. Alberta...not so much. Brrrrrr

Yeah, my wife and I went golfing twice last week, but along with such bragging rights comes the realization that house prices here are #2 in the world, right behind Hong Kong. Those in Texas and the south have more sun and much more affordable housing, while just across the border the housing is less than 1/2 the price.
You can't have it all! (Oh, and we still have a lot of rain. The day after our last golf game last week my backyard almost floated away.)

Watching CNN. Appears they've got themselves confused with the Comedy Channel. All these reporters in the middle of the storm, trudging through a half inch of snow while doing death defying reporting live.
I know it's coming, but I'm overcome by the drama.

Those that are on the far east coast, you have my sympathy, truly. Watching the news... you are in for it! I would imagine when you get no snow, no rain, etc. you laugh at those of us on the opposite coast who get a ton of water, snow. It hit 60 degrees in PDX today.

Just be safe... and sane no matter your domicile. This to will pass... BE SAFE and plan a future camping trip!

I laugh because the storm hasn't arrived yet, but the reporters are pretending they are in the midst of it.
I recall the same situation when I was a news photographer. Some editor saying "it's supposed to snow 12 inches tomorrow. We need you to go out and take pictures now". Of what?
