What does it tell you? I remember deleting the mattress and getting a $150 credit back in 2014. Shortly thereafter ETI was no longer crediting those kinds of deletions, yet it seems like now they are again with some things.

It tells me:

Too Cheap to offer a very small credit that I called them out on AND Samuel admitted to in writing means that they are Too Cheap when it comes to all those Material and Labor things that I cannot see.

Just like Belly Buttons. Opinions may vary.

I've spent the additional money now to make our dinette functional and I've passed those details and part numbers on to the other upcoming slide window Escapee's who are past their build sheet and are looking to have cross ventilation in their dinette.

Suggest you buy some other brand, since you are repeatedly disappointed.

Hello, I expect my 21C be delivered at the end of Aug. or early Sept.
My concern with this new Exit Window was in its operation, what will happens when I unlatch the handles? Will drop to floor or need to be pull inside?
I asked Karl and the response was the window is hinged on the top, the glass and its frame stays with the trailer. Just swings up.

In my case, I'll prop open and place a "stick" to keep the window cracked open, rubber band or "make an smart stick" to prevent from flopping.
On the bugs screen solution I'll see it when 21C is in my possession.
My hardware or window manufacturer can make a screen then Velcro or else.

I'm not happy with the new regulations but I'll make the best in my case.

At least there is a solution. Per Samuel, Lippert told Escape that they will be carrying the original screened window for replacement orders for two years.

The Window Part #V000585263 - 200VEPW 30 X 20 TP INS BK is $476.95 and the Trim Ring Part #V000449153 is $35.95. 15 day lead time.

I received my real deal pre-obsolete Emergency Window from Lippert today. The one with an actual screen and the hold open red bar. However, UPS decided to knock around bit and hit it just hard enough not to break the glass but to bend the exterior metal frame in two pieces.

I'm sure UPS and Lippert will work out the claim and all will be good. I'm not in a rush since we don't get out 21C until this October.

By the way, it looks like a really nice window.

Hope you get a new one or a cash pay out.

If you tape the window problem area, a large crescent wrench should bend it back into position. Start at one edge and do a bit at a time. About 20 movements for each bend.

Someone on a budget building a tear or square drop trailer might like it at a reduced price.

Ha hah- cash payout from the good folks at Lippert? No. And then they will tell you they won't expedite a replacement and to expect another 6 weeks for production. Ask me how I know.

I'm my situation & LSS I was lucky to have Escape agree to sell me a window. I received it 3 days later! Bless you Dave Warren & Samuel Schneebeli!

The shipping box was amazing.

Here it is... the Lippert box of course was cardboard and not particularly tough.

I am really happy with the overall quality of our new Escape trailer and although people can have issue with Dometic and other common brands used, the Lippert windows (ours are framed except back window over bed) could be the achilles heel of the entire trailer in my opinion.
I know that ETI is looking at other window suppliers and if I was doing this again I would gladly pay for an upgrade in window quality.

Looks like you could fix it, Aluminum is soft. Cut a piece of wood the size of the inside of grove.... tight. 1 1/4"?

Slid it in & tap it through from the side, on the easy bend. The worst one, do the same, but then leave the wood in the bend, then have tap the metal against the wood piece. Placing a small piece hard wood on the bend & hit with a hammer on the wood. No hammer against the metal.

I was thinking the same thing but I wanted to go through the freight claim process first.

The metal framing is fairly solid, especially at the large bend.

I was going to say the same thing but I thought, no, everyone's tired of me saying "you can do it."

Yes, might take some "scary" hits, to get it to straighten, why the wood, to protect against hammer tracks & chipped paint. Might take a hard wood, & not pine. I used to shoe my own horses, & build copper pans, as far as working metal.

Even more upsetting is that for those who have signed off on their build sheet NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE.

That now means when we sit at the rear dinette in our upcoming 21C we will only have ONE opening window. Imagine being the one stuck sitting in the driver's side rear corner on the dinette.

Hey Escape! Please explain to me why having just signed off on my build sheet on a unit that won't be completed for several months why I have to suffer.

NOT A HAPPY!

Explain to me No Changes...oh that only means YOU... Escape can change without your approval. Hmmm
