Fellow Forum members needle me about my obsession[they call it] with Very High Bond [VHB] tape but that is, essentially, what's holding the trashcan to the cabinet door. The screws which came with the can protrude slightly from a wooden block to allow for easy removal - a hook-on/hook-off procedure. The block is then mounted to the door with VHB tape. There is another block mounted [with VHB tape of course] on the door, near the bottom of the trash can to make up for the offset.

The upside down pillow? Had my wife taken the pictures, she would have noticed it. Me? I was just looking for a reference photos.

Klaus : I enjoyed the pics of your trailer. We have a 19' also. I was wondering about the blue seat cushions. Are they chair 'inserts' or are they actual disassembled chairs? They look comfortable.

Jack,

As with many Forum members, we borrow ideas from others. Those chairs were inspired by Jon Vermilye some time ago. We purchased them mostly to raise our seats higher in the 19 Escape. Even with the raised dinette, we found we needed some extra height. We purchase them from West Marine. And, as I looked it up the info, I noticed they're on sale right now. Great chairs: versatile and comfortable.

Living on Vancouver Island, you'll be well aware of wet days, and the wet clothes that come with it. Last November, on a Tofino/Island trip we bought an expandable shower curtain rod, which we put up in the bathroom to dry rain jackets/pants, towels, and so forth. We don't leave it in place when driving, however, as there might be a chance to damage the walls when the trailer moves, and the walls flex. It stores nicely in the closet when traveling.
For those 'things' which you need, but not all the time, we've got a few cloth Safeway fold-able boxes which go right under the bed storage.

Lastly, where to put the garbage? ksitte has an amazing set up for garbage under the sink. Unfortunately, we need the space for cooking pots. We found anything which encroached into our food prep space made things just too tight. We use full size garbage bags, tie a small knot on one of the corners, and suspend it by squeezing the knot between the counter and the flip up counter (which we leave up all the time when not on the road). It's almost out of the way.

Idea stolen from baglo. This keeps the can right out of the way used a couple sets of command hooks.

As well as mounting it on the outside door, we also made a place for on the bath door for when inside.

Is this is Ikea trash can? We were at Ikea the other day and, when we asked about the covered trash cans, the sales person couldn't locate anything remotely similar to this one.

Just found two sizes of Sterite Drawers at Wally that work perfectly under the sink in our 19.
One is a 5 drawer and holds the silverware (We use plastic) with two drawers left over for napkins or hot pads or whatever. Bigger pots tuck behind.
The other is a larger 3 drawer for knives, spatulas, etc. and the frying pans sit right on top.
Both of these snug in like they were custom built for the cabinet and only $9 each.

Also, mounted our new ceramic soap dispenser with museum gel. (Thanks AZ Jack n Nancy)

Great set-up Greg. Thanks for posting! I think that I'll probably go with something like that for under the sink. Makes great utilization of the space and helps with our lack of drawers with having the microwave instead.

Does the museum gel keep things in place while travelling? I've never heard of it.

There are several "stick-um" type available, college students use it to attach to walls without marking. It does a good job at keeping things in place, yet allowing removing if desired.

I've been using Quake Hold for years with my figurines, which is a white putty. Museum Gel is sold by the same company (in fact, both products are sold under different names, depending on what market they want to reach), but it's a clear gel. I never liked it for my figurines as it could leach into them and leave some residue behind as well as discoloration. However, for something that isn't porous (like many of my figurines made of resin or china), it should be just fine. The putty was much better on porous items. You can find it at hardware stores even, such as Lowe's and I'm sure Amazon sells it.
