Escape current frame less windows

escape current frame less windows.

I been researching windows. I think i searched and read every thread on the subject. I see there was some issues the early frame less windows.(problems with the manufacture)there doesn't seem to be any resent threads. My hope its because the issues have been resolved looking at the inventory units at escape its appears to be a new frame less window, you can see a thicker rain gutter up top and different knobs .maybe same window with minor changes I don't know. I looking hard at these because of the benefits for my camping style. I love the fact you can open in rain and I do a lot of camping where nights fall below freezing and they say these be better for condensation. Is there any feedback on these?

I have one of early 2017 trailers that has the dual pane frameless windows. Let me put it this way - all of my windows that were made by Hehr in California had problems. None of the other windows made by Hehr (now Lippert) have had any problems.

From what I was told, Hehr started up a new facility in California back then and had numerous manufacturing issues with windows coming out of that facility. Since Lippert took them over, it seems the problems have been corrected with maybe the exception of the small bathroom windows. To resolve that, Escape now supplies the bathroom windows single pane.

If I was replacing my current trailer, I would buy the frameless again without doubt. I love being able to open them in the rain and the looks of them.

Almost forgot to mention this. I have the electric awning. If I was going to get the manual awning, I would have to rethink getting the frameless windows as you cannot open certain windows with the awning retracted.

Thats where I am at. I like the manual awning But thinking if i go frameless I also get the power awning. Just so you can open all of them if awning is not deployed. They do install the bath window frame less now.

Hehr windows was the original frameless company for Escape but they have been merged into Lippert Ind. a competitor. The smaller window in bath and in the E21 option over the night stand is not thermal but is awning and frameless. All the other awning frameless windows are thermal as is the escape window in the driver rear. That said Escape now is showing a bath slider, so I'm not sure what is current. Your sales person should be able to answer your questions.

How do you know if your Frameless windows were made in California?

On today's production all the windows are thermal including bath regardless if its frammless or framed sliders. the small bath they where using ( awning single pane frameless )is no longer available.
they been changing so many windows its hard to keep up. This one reason i thinking of going frameless. On my original build sheet I had sliders and added the bath and kitchen window that where awning style . I was happy with that plan as it give me two awning and the escape window would be able to open in rain. Now this is no longer available in fact i had them check to see if they had any left overs. so now if i go sliders they have a new thermal slider. Picture attached. I not a big fan of it because on a small window to me it just looks odd. if you look at current inventory you can see the new bath frameless thermal there useing on the 21's . also if you look at those picture it appears that there may even be a different window if not the rain gutters is defiantly different.

I can't comment on the current frameless window, but the frameless, dual pane bathroom window in my 2017 21 has separated. Another summer project!

If I remember correctly, it was the small bath thermal window that had the most failures, so T&R went to the single pane for bath and optional window on the E21 driver side(over the night stand) My 2019 has both and both are not thermal. However it appears all are thermal again under the Lippert brand.

For some reason, Escape has the 360 degree 21' pictures for the 21NE shown for the 21.

https://escapetrailer.com/the-21-escape/

I guess the Escape website is still a work in progress.

I also think it is confusing to new customers to keep showing a body style on the web page that is no longer available...as nice as they are.
It took me some time and research to realize exactly what I was going to be purchasing.

In post #8, that must be the E21 NE with the side bath...why the rain gutter is unknown as with the awning the top pane is fixed and there is no gutter needed. Must be a new style window?

That's what i was thinking this looks like it a new window and that might explain the new handle . maybe some one with the new models could post up some pictures?

Please let me know your plan and what you end up doing, in case I experience the same thing in the future. I have the same windows.

There was an Escape owner, last name Wetzk who found a window place near his home in Florida that did the repairs, pretty reasonable also.

https://suncoastdesigners.com/rv-services/defog/

A Google search for fogging RV window repair would maybe locate a vendor more local.

There are also vendors that supply do it yourself kits for the brave at heart.
