Yeah, I was wondering the same thing! But for 27$ I opted out. Maybe it has blinky lights.

I'm only guessing that this is the tag offered.
It has a strong magnet on the back. You sandwich your shirt or whatever between the magnet and the tag.
Do you have a link to where you saw it offered.

I saw it as an option on the questionnaire that I received from Tammy to register for the 2017 rally.

Name Tag info and order form

We too were asked about ordering nametags when registering for the rally. I asked for more info and was sent the attached form...decided to pass.

The name tags in question are made for ETI by an independent manufacturer in the United States. Although pricey, they are very good quality and do not make holes in your clothing because they use a magnet (as was previously stated) rather than a pin mechanism to attach them. Mine looks like my 5.0TA. If it got broken or lost, I would buy another one.

We really like ours too. You can wear them on any shirt, no problem. I don't remember them being that expensive though, but I too would buy one again.

Escape will still provide a name tag to wear around your neck for free. I used one of those for the first years.

Name tags

Would this name tag stick to your bare chest if you had a pacemaker? You know, the Putin Look. I got one of those huge name tag pocket holder deals at a park conference once. After the conference, I repurposed it to hold night crawlers while wade fishing. Forgot to take the leftover worms out one day and that ended its life. I'm good with the free one, being on a fixed income and all.

Dave, it would probably work without the backer if you had a large piece of steel embedded under your skin. But you probably wouldn't make it through airport security if you wanted to fly somewhere!

So that plate in my head would be a candidate for attachment. Hmmm now I gotta
think
about getting one.

Dave

I don't know about your pacer, but with mine, a magnet on my chest causes my heart rate to go up.

Name Tag + Putin Look = Racing Heart!

This is not my preferred way to get my heart rate up.

For all those who don'tor can't go for the lovely custom printed magnetic name tags that are so wonderfully convenient. maybe we should see who can come up with their own creative name tag....maybe even with bling or blinky lights!

We did opt 'in' to purchase the name tags (thought $27 for 2 was quite acceptable). We would also be down to consider purchasing another creation (bling or not) just 'cause it is a cool keepsake. If you do create something we would be delighted to take a look.

We do ever so hope that they also have the wooden stakes to post at our front drive with our names on it - thought that was a brilliant idea when we attended in 2012. With over 130 units attending that might be too much for them to produce though.

ETI continues to do all of that.
I think once you price name tags with individual name and place embossed on it, you will think the price quite reasonable.

Well, once again my lack of "reads and follows directions" has led me to assume something not true. I did not read the memo or look at the order form. So I mistakenly thought the name tags were $27 each. Silly me. So at $27 for Two,I think it's a pretty good deal. $ 13.50 for an anniversary present seems pretty good. Good for sleeping on the ground under the trailer that is. If Baglo likes his, I better get one.

Oh man, now I'm feeling peer pressure to get them too...

Best part is that the wind doesn't catch it, twisting the string and trying to hang you.
