Escape has additional capacity in 2022?

Just received an email from Karl asking if we want the opportunity for an earlier production date. They also say "we cannot commit dates for when we fill that capacity".

Basically, we need to let them know in two days if we will take our trailer whenever they get it built. Strange because we have not even completed a build sheet. Definitely hard to plan for.

Is anyone else hearing that Escape has additional capacity in 2022?

Strange in today's Covid manufacturing delayed world.

Same here. Sounds good to me

"additional capacity" No idea if that means more production capability or deposit holders dropping off. I would imagine deposit holders drop off, buy a used Escape / something else, health / financial changes, etc. all the time.

I got one of those emails, too.

I can only pick it up between Memorial Day and August 15; the rest of the year I'm working. I would like to move up as much as 3-4 months (from August to, say, April or May would be great), but if it gets finished sooner than that I'd have to pay a lot to store it for months and months. So now I'm wondering, if I say "no" to moving up, will that absolutely sew me into August with no chance of moving up just a little (like I'd hoped)? I'm not sure what to do.

I'm sticking with the original completion date so that I can attend the Osoyoos Rally right after pick up on the return trip home.....

Price increase for 2022 is already in effect.. If you have a 2023 delivery date, maybe you'll miss that by being moved up

I'm trying to recall, is there a limit to the number of months ETI will store a trailer?

I don’t know about a limit but I can tell you they are much higher than storage fees here in Missouri.

As far as the bumping up of completion dates, I ended up ahead of my original date of this coming March to December.

Then as I had myself set up for pickup near the first of December, they bumped back it to a January completion date…

Then I was told not long ago it would be ready in the middle of December.

I let them know I’m sticking with the January pickup date, easier on my end to keep it simple.

Actually ETI announces the prices for the coming year in the summer time. They have to announce the prices early so folks will know the final price of their trailer when they complete their build sheet if the build date falls in the new year. ETI broke from their prior pricing format this year pulling people's builds into 2021 but charging them 2022 pricing. Hopefully that doesn't happen again next year.

I've found some older videos where Karl was offering to extend the prior years pricing to lure people to take delivery in January. I guess in normal years most folks are less likely to want to take delivery in the dead of winter.

First month free and then you pay. They never mentioned a limit to the amount of time you can pay to keep it there.

Ha ha- that's what you always do isn't it? Buy a trailer- drive out empty to pick up then sell it later at home then repeat.

I got the same email today…my pickup is tomorrow in Sumas. I kinda chuckled but I’m sure it’s an email that went out to all customers that have an open order that have not picked up yet.

Thumbs down Early pickup

I received the email today also. I am scheduled for delivery in August. Made the decision not to accept an earlier date just way too much going on during most of the summer. I am aware of a number of cancellations from what I've read on the Facebook escape. It will be interesting to see how much I could've possibly moved up.

I don’t think that there has been anymore cancellations then are a norm in their backlog. People change there mind as their life for what ever reason goes down another path. Some People are looking at the same time and are lucky enough to find a used like the buyer of my 2017 19 foot. In 2016 I waited 12 months for my 19, this time I waited 12 months for my 21C. Escape has doubled their manufacturing and it lagged a bit because of staffing issues. It looks like that situation may have improved and I’m sure more delivery dates will be pulled in excited for all you lucky earlier Escape owners.
