Early this afternoon just west of Medicine Hat AB eastbound on #1 a red pickup with cap towing a 17 with purple graphics. Just the second I've seen this year, the other was in April another 17 crossing the Assiniboine River in Headingly MB.

That sounds like the couple I met from Quebec, who were picking up their 17 from Chilliwack last week....the same morning that I took delivery of my 19.

Leaving the Pickeral Point campground at the Promised Land State Park in PA after an overnight stop at about 9am today, we drove by the Lower Lake campground to check it out, and saw a white Escape 5.0 next to a white TV. Didn't see anyone out and about, so drove on by.

That was the only Escape we have seen in the three campgrounds we have visited in the past 10 days, but it's early May and the grounds are mostly empty (except Pickeral Point, which is popular).

Escape 21s at the wall, Badlands Nat'l Park

Ran into Dave & Susan Lorenzen from Tipton, Iowa, last night. Two Escape 21s at the same place and same time!

Hear any coyotes or were they shut mouth last night? I think the Lorenzen’s are the couple who looked at our rig a couple years ago. I’m terrible remembering names unless it’s someone I’ve been in jail with. How everything is going well for you. See any jackalopes?

Awesome! We camped there at the Badlands “Wall” on our trip home from Sumas last year. It’s a fantastic boondocking spot. Loved it so much we’re camping there again later this year when we head out to Yellowstone. So cool to have two Escapes camping together there!

Where is "The Wall" in the Badlands? Sounds/looks like a nickname?

Yes, The Wall is a nickname. This boondocking or dispersed camping location is in the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands, located just outside the Badlands National Park. It’s an elevated ledge that overlooks the Badlands, and a wonderful place to camp if you ever get out that way.

Edit: In case there’s any confusion, this isn’t Wall, SD were the omnipresent Wall Drug is located. Although it is close enough that we did make a run up to Wall Drug while we camped on The Wall. I think it’s about a 10 - 15ish minute drive up Route 240 from The Wall dispersed camping area to Wall Drug.

If you’re coming from the east on I-90 and going west you can either enter the first exit for the Badlands and drive through the park and exit at the West entrance or you can take the second exit to the Badlands. This is a north/ south road. A few hundred yards north of the park’s West entry point you will look East and see a large radio/ cell phone tower and a small building.out in the grassland. There’s a drive into the grassland about directly west of of the tower which turns into a little two track road that will take you to the wall. It’s not far, probably between a 1/4 and 1/2 mile through the grass. If it’s been real wet watch for muddy spots in the roadway through the field. The setup area once you get to the wall goes on for a couple miles north and south along the wall. Pick your spot, It’s not crowded and find a level spot (not hard), set up and relax. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT leave your trailer door unlocked if you regularly sleepwalk. For music, the Coyotes (song dogs) often set up a Doppler effect howling ( competition barking) that starts up about 0:dark thirty. Have fun.

You didn't describe the trailer but we meet that route. We're going from the Olympic Peninsula to Osoyoos via Flagstaff AZ and Farmington NM. Almost there...

See all y'all soon!

In a parking lot in Sedro-Woolley, Washington today I saw a brand-new Escape 19. I'm guessing the owners had just picked it up in Sumas. It had no license plate but the truck pulling it had a Montana plate. The trailer was beautiful. Congratulations to the new owners!

E21 being towed by a white Audi from BC in Port Angeles today around noon. I think I might have seen them in Osoyoos too.

Saw a nice 19 with teal graphics at the Strawberry Music Festival last weekend in Grass Valley California.... Was towed by a 4Runner. Also saw a number of Casitas, Scamps, and a Bigfoot.

I’ve seen a couple Eacapes in the past three weeks that were headed to Alaska and parts north. Also several folks who attended the rally indicates that was their next destination. Had to bump up this old Pearl.

A two-fer

Two Escapes on a delivery truck were heading east on I-70 in far western Kansas about 4:30 this afternoon. I was driving the opposite direction, so just got a glance; guessing that they were 19's? One had bright blue graphics. Exciting to see that 2 new owners will be joining our little community here. Congrats!

I saw a late-model Escape 21 in blue trim pulling out of Larrabee State Park in Washington this morning. The trailer looked new; it was very nice.
