We have vacationed in the upper peninsula several times. Every time I go I have a hard time fitting all my regular stops in with some new ones I want to experience. I am fond of kitchitikipi, ( the big spring ) at palms book state park, tahquenamon falls, leelanaw, the shipwreck museum, soo locks, man there's just too many. Glad you had a good time on the river, hope to see you next year.

Escape sighting

While heading south on Hwy 395, I thought I saw a Escape 5ver pull into a rest area, turning around I headed back North on 395.. Lo and behold , it was a Escape , owned by T-Town Bob.. He and his lovely wife graciously gave me a tour of their rig .. Wonderful people and they gave me a bunch of tips about towing and trailers in general. .. So here is a SHOUT-OUT to MR. And Mrs T-Town Bob , Two very, very nice folks...

We enjoyed meeting and chatting with you about our great little trailers. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to chat. We look forward to our paths crossing again and please give a shout if you ever find yourself up in the PNW. We know of several local brew pubs to raise a pint, cheers!

Saw our first Escape on the road! It was a 5,0 heading south on I5 approaching Sacramento around 9am. Didn't get a look at the tug. Still very exciting to see. Won't be long now before we see our 21!

It's such a thrill to see Escapes on the road! I never tire of looking for and identifying fiberglass trailers. How exciting for you as you near your pickup day!

Sightings

I purchased some custom parts for my car online so Ted and I decided to take our 17B down to Tulalip for a couple of days to avoid paying any duty. I mentioned to Ted that when I was in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago, I saw an Escape 21 parked at Bobs Burgers in Sumas. He wondered out loud if we might pass any Escapes on our short jaunt down.

The Tulalip casino lets you camp in their RV lot for free and if you register with security, you can get a free pass at the front desk for the pool and hot tub! (Cabellas and Walmart also allow RV's) Unfortunately for the casino, we're cheap guests because we don't gamble and though I may lose my woman card by admitting this, I have absolutely no interest in shopping at the Outlet Mall!

Anyways, as we headed to our preferred slot to park, guess who was parked next door? An older Escape 17B with BC plates! After a short conversation with the owners, we learned they had searched for a used one and ending up driving to Alberta to buy it. Even though our trailers are both 17B's, with the higher axle, larger tires, solar panel etc., our's seemed to dwarf theirs. Plus they had only a single battery and single propane tank mounted up front. Note to Reace: the owner was very impressed with your front storage box! Here's a few pic's for comparison.

While coming back from my grandsons Halloween Parade at his school I saw what I thought was an old fiberglass trailer in an abandoned farmhouse yard. Had to go back and look. It was a very old Argossy metal trailer. I only post this in case anyone out there knows somebody who is looking for something like this. They could contact me and I would find out what I could about it. It's about 25'miles SE of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

What a surprise to come back to Valley of Fires Recreation Area from our day trip yesterday and find Jon Vermilye parked next to us! Jon graciously gave us a tour of his 17' when he stopped in Tupelo, MS in 2013. Shortly after that, we placed our order! It was great to visit with him again.

A 21 pulled by a white truck heading up Yew Street Road in Bellingham at 5:20 p.m. today. I was so startled I didn't get a good look at the graphics but think they were gray.

I have found this to be a common occurrence, because the Argosy model from Airstream was curved (just like the regular Airstream, but similar to a moulded fiberglass trailer such as a Boler) and painted white.

Re 10-17-15 Sighting Approaching Sacramento

Jill, you caught us on our last day headed home after picking up our 5.0 in Chilliwack on 10-7. We had overnighted in Williams. Our 5.0 is wonderful. Bought sight unseen. Still getting used to all the room after our 19' truck camper of 12 years. Here is my much better half showing off our rig on our last day at NAS Whidbey Island in Washington. Cliff and Betty

Hi: JMTHKR... WELCOME to our world of Escapes. It takes fore site to buy sight unseen. We owned a 5.0 Classic for 6 yrs. and ordered a 5.0TA unseen. Had many calls to Reace about it before the molds were cast and even he didn't know at the time how it would work... but it does so beautifully.
Here's a pic of us leaving the nest in Chilliwack. Alf

So I'm over at my storage unit and what do I see? An Escape 21 in one of the RV sites. Got to meet Duke and Beverlee (sandypas) who are here to celebrate Veterans Day. Duke is getting a memorial paver dedicated at the Anthem, AZ Veterans Memorial to honor his service in the Army. Thanks for your service, Duke...
Anthem Veterans Memorial | Online At Anthem
Great couple, got to spend about 30 minutes chatting, and will probably see them at the Veterans celebration this week. Their 21 sure looks sweet!
