I am really sorry I didn't get a chance to try poutine on our brief stay in Chilliwack in April picking up our trailer. I did at least get to have the waffles at the Best Western...now I wonder if Jim keeps buying new trailers just to have an excuse to come back for more waffles...

Noelia loves those waffles, she even noticed that the recipe changed......I just like the cool beer dispensing at their bar, frosted mug with a spritz of water, instant ice to cool down their drafts.

Along that line, maybe it's harvested from the "Poland China" breed of swine, which aren't from Poland or from China. Go figure....

So calling a pork product "Canadian Bacon" is a marketing strategy?

Google.
Check it out.
Back bacon - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Back_bacon
Jump to "Canadian bacon" - " Canadian bacon" or "Canadian-style bacon" is the American name for a form of back bacon that is cured, smoked and fully cooked, trimmed into cylindrical medallions, and thickly sliced.
And, we celebrate the Fourth of July on July 1..

All I really wanted to know was others experience with ETI QC.
Now I know everything there is to know about Canadian? Bacon and waffles with Bud Lite(shudder). Poutine is a mystery!
Is this a great place or what?

Yeah, not on my list at all unless it was the only thing available.
I prefer much darker beers, and ones with more taste. Many that I drink are a much higher ABV level too. Kinda fussy, but I like good beer.

The light beers in Canada are around 4-5% as compared to the near beer sold in states at 3.2%, they are a lot more robust north of the border so after 3-4 you start feeling better sooner.

You're just drinking beer at too low of an altitude. Try drinking 3.2% beer at 10,000 feet elevation in Leadville, Colorado. That will make you "feel better" very quickly. Now why would anyone on this forum complain about valuable free information like this regardless of the original thread topic?

Light beer in Canada has usually been 3.5 to 4% ABV. My issue is not the alcohol, it is just that most of are taste quite weak and a bit tasteless.
I know that at Utah allows breweries they can only brew to 4.5% ABV maximum, but there are a few goods ones that I found.
It really comes down to what an individual person likes though, as there is a fair bit of light beers sold, especially at public events like sports.
When we had beers at the Calgary Stampede the other day, the selection was very minimal. I picked a Budweiser as the tastiest of the bunch even though it is not anywhere near that in my books. The young guy selling commented "Oh, the king of beers" but smiled widely when my response was "I guess that's what their advertising says".
But, all of Canada and the US certainly have a great selection of tasty beers these days. This is so great. We went into a liquor store in Prescott AZ when we were staying there earlier this year, and holy cow did they ever have a great beer selection. We kinda filled two fridges while in there.

Thread drift on this forum is epic. You never know where it will go.
But to be a real killjoy I'll go back to the original question.
Our first Escape had a few issues, nothing that I couldn't deal with and nothing that would have made returning to ETI necessary. If I were picking up my new trailer thousands of miles from home, yes, I'd hang around the area for a day or so in case something needs dealing with.
But to put it in perspective, we live less than 2 hours from ETI. We were asked to schedule a 2 hour orientation. I declined. I'm down to come out, do the paperwork and go. That's my assessment of ETI's QC. I have confidence that things that are supposed to work will.
Ron

Careful Ron,
I tried the same, since this is my 4th Escape, no orientation needed. But they still had me wait around for 2 hours because the driver who imports the trailer was not available until then. So you may have a wait, either way, depending on who is doing what. There is a bustle of activity going on, but without the drivers, nothing is leaving.

For us that live in the USA, the driver is a necessity due to import restrictions. For those that live in Canada, can I assume that you just hook up and go?
