Watch the weather, this time of year can allow slippery roads.......

Our pick up date is the 27th. And we started getting pictures on September 1st, all the cabinetry was all in place all the walls just no appliances or doors.

There ya go, that's the thing to do, and if ETI holds out hope be prepared to effect timely final payment if you've not already done that.

Just curious, are you picking-up in Sumas or having delivery to a 'hub'? If the latter you may have been offered the option to pay the delivery fee via ETI's online 'miscellaneous payments' system using a credit/debit card with no added handling fee (and being a USD transaction there's no 'conversion' fee involved); that's what I did just to enjoy the 'kickback' I get from my CC.

In any case Congrats, Jeffrey, your time is finally near!

BTW, please consider sharing your build-pics on the "It's Friday ..." thread, it's always fun (and often informative) to see those, every trailer is a little bit different!

A friend of mine ordered a Ford F-150 in March with an expected delivery date of June, then got moved to July and is now moved to October. The dealer said the truck was built but waiting for some chips to be installed. My friend cancelled his order as he was able to get a Chev off the lot that met his requirements. With chip shortages, container shortage, ocean going vessel shortages, labour issues due to COVID, The supply chain these days is crazy for just about everything. I had to wait 6 weeks for a bicycle tube recently.

Interesting. Our date is the 29th. No word on build and definitely no pictures.

I’m curious to find out what you learn from the phone call.

I called and wound up talking with Amanda who schedules deliveries. The upshot is that, yeah, sometimes there is a pretty big wait time between when the trailer starts production and when it will be done. But, sometimes they'll have a chance to complete it early.

She made a note that I'd take the trailer early if it does indeed complete, and suggested I check in again with her around the end of September. She thinks she will know if it is going to be done early then or not.

I'll post my build photos in the other thread later today.

Used to be once it started production it was a two week build before completion. We picked ours up on day 16 with no offensive off gassing.

It might be only a matter of time before there aren't pictures while you wait. I can't think of a reason they'd keep doing it. They have your money. And they are "evidence" in case something turns out not to have been done right that can be seen in the pictures.

Perennially predisposed to speculative pessimism?

Internet

Call Dometic and tell them you expect their internet to work all the time and not let you down.
How long is the internet guaranteed for anyway?

My 17B GCD is Sept 20 and first pictures on Aug 25 showed a mostly empty shell. So it seems they're going to build it in just over 3 weeks. There seems to be a wide variation in build times as posted here, which I assume is due to availability of different options that have been ordered. There may also be differences based on trailer size as I assume the availability of the fiberglass molds are a limiting factor. I'm sure it's a complex and ever-changing challenge trying to maximize throughput.

If you have not received any photos close to your delivery date, I'd check with Escape to insure that they have your correct email address.

Well, just got some info that might explain the strange happenings going on now… due to staffing issues, they’re moving my “g”cd out from 10/12 to 10/20.

So, it's not "guaranteed"? One sided contract there.....no remedies for the buyer......

Notice they have dropped the "Guaranteed" terminology off of the Completion date revisions for CDR2 and later?
