Exterior width of 2017 21(2nd gen)

Hello,

My wife and I are hoping to join the Escape community. We are looking at a used 2017 21 and one of the questions I have is the width of the unit. Escapes site says 7' 4" and normally I'd be ok with that but there is a corridor that I need it to fit through to get into my yard. The corridor is 10' long, 7' 7" wide and and over 15' high.

So I was thinking if it did indeed fit through there (with all the bumps of the exterior lights/etc) that I could pull it through with a guide for the wheels and a ratchet system to pull the trailer back evenly through the corridor (or something else if that doesn't work out )

Does anyone know the actual widest point on a 2017 21 with power awning?

Thank you,

Jacob

That would be really close, a 3" clearance or 1.5" on each side...The awning is recessed into the body but they have these guide rails that protrude. they may have to be eliminated.

To satisfy my curiosity I just ended up buying one and measuring it The widest point is the step on the passenger side and the utility light on the driver side; together it its 7' 5.25". This is on a 2017 21.

I've got 2 inches on either side to make it through!

You could remove the step and just carry a portable plastic one, this is commonly done....
